A beautiful mane indeed!

I had to explain this to some (racist motherfucker) extended family members re: transgender people recently. They were all a-twitter about “but I don’t understand what I should call them, this is so difficult!”

Some of it is simply because the animation has definitely aged. It’s charming still (and I consider the film itself one of Pixar’s best, so agree to disagree on that!), but on a rewatch, you can definitely see how far we’ve come in animating cartoony people, even very stylized ones. It doesn’t show nearly as much in

Throw in this gif and we can drown the world in our tears!

Yeah. I live west of this area on the coast, and it’s like...a half-hour drive between HIPPIE PARADISE WEED FUNTIMES YOU DO YOU and horrifying billboards about Jesus and how terrible abortions are.

It hit me pretty hard as well. “Northern California” generally means Sacramento or San Francisco to larger news outlets (not actually a complaint, it happens and it’s amusing) so I don’t normally expect to see things from what I really consider my area in headlines. My husband grew up in Red Bluff. It’s weird seeing

Not necessarily (ie, “Jules” for Julia/Julie, Jimmy or Sammy for James or Samuel, Anya for Anna, or a few Slavic-based names where there’s an “-ushka” added to the end so that it might well end up being longer). I’d say it’s a way of being closer or more friendly (or more friendly-seeming, in the case of show hosts

I had the same question and clicked the link to read the article. ;)

*squeeze* I’m so sorry to hear that. It doesn’t really make it better, but I try to remind myself that people are often just scared and confused—especially with the more invisible illnesses—and need to offer up something because that’s the only way they think they can be helpful. Sigh. Sometimes it makes it easier,

I honestly read that as “endless suffering” and did a spittake before I realized my mistake. It would have been more factual!

Namor should make his life action appearnce in his swimsuit + satin robe, preferably filmed at a constant low angle. Flout the v altogether!

He has several, crocheted just for him, in case he gets a lil’ too cold when he’s out eating grass! <3

What a beautiful (and tilted!) baby! I just want to squeeze her!

Madrigal! My husband and I were actually out visiting the park on the evening before our wedding, so he’s named after the Rush song Madrigal, which was a reading at the ceremony, ahaha. We figured he was kind of a wedding gift at that point! :P

Our boy was adopted under similar circumstances—tossed in the bushes of a turn-out in a national park (so no, no houses for miles, did not wander away, was litter trained, loved people, loved dogs, definitely not feral—just a six month old black kitten who was juuuust getting out of that “omg so cute and baby!”

What a handsome boy, with that eternal grump look that black cats are just some of the best at. <3 I’m sure you gave him an amazing fifteen years.

*squeeze* Missing them never quite goes away. He was a handsome boy, I’m sorry he had to head up early. <3

My cat deems her his soulmate, what with her dapper fashion to complement his:

Plenty of women don’t necessarily know their own bodies and what gets them off best, either. Lack of open conversation about sexual pleasure cuts a lot of ways, and it could be that an app makes the ideas feel “legitimized” or easier to talk to about. It seems like the app is a collaborative thing for the pair of
