That's why they link to the Kotaku article tackling this as a gaming device. Since Sony is promoting it as an all around gadget that has playing games as a major feature Gizmodo is reviewing it as a gadget. Gizmodo's take from a gadget perspective is "don't buy." Kotaku has this listed as a "buy" as a gaming

I'm about an hour in. Hearing Mike Patton as the voice of the Darkness again is such a great thrill!

worth your time and worth your money are two different things. Something so outrageous or amazingly bad can be worth a couple hours of your time if you can borrow from a friend, rent, or buy used and return to gamestop etc.

DON'T PANIC! Us VZW GNex users will be supported fully by Google.

BOOSH!

"And yet the police struggle to explain what Steam is to each other"

putting Splatterhouse into the Lovecraft mythos was a nice touch, and the surprising amount of variety in the game definitely kept my interest. I can see why a reviewer on a tight deadline might find the fighting repetitive and tedious, but I thought it was a complete fun blast that never took itself too seriously.

Hmmm the last time a game I was sorta interested in got trashed this badly was Splatterhouse. And I got a copy on Black Friday for about $11 and it turned out to be a way better game than the critics made it out to be.

Not only am I not outraged by any of this, they have also done a pretty great user campaign.

I believe you are correct.

yeah if you Google for it you will see that people routinely carbonate gin and vodka in their soda streams. However I would love to hear about any experiences from members of the Giz community. I'm definitely going to try it, the worst thing that happens is I ruin 1/5th of cheap spirits.

this is exactly what I want to find out! Experiential knowledge! I often drink my hard liquor with a carbonated mixer, but maybe I could cut out the middle-man and drink carbonated bourbon over ice, maybe with a little ginger thrown in.

Anyone have any experience running whiskey (or bourbon) through a soda stream? I've carbonated white wine, and I want to experiment with carbonating the harder stuff. What's it like?

I'm still boycotting CBS for cancelling numb3rs.

I haven't checked it out yet because I'm not much of a Flash fan in general, but I'll definitely give issue #1 a try if it looks great.

Via comiXology I have been getting back into reading comics and checking out a lot of the new 52. I've been getting into a bunch of them but I have a lot of trouble with the books like these where the art just looks too digitally rendered or colored. I don't care if that is the process, as long as the end result is

Video cards can also support DX10 and DX11 and be absolutely awesome for games. I'm staying positive on this one.

as others have pointed out if you read the source the screen resolution is a MINIMUM requirement, which is great.

this has been a "try" for a very long time, from the midi guitars of the 80s, to the Roland VG-8 that Bowie's guitarist Reeves Gabrels used in the 90s, to the Line 6 Variax guitars of the 00s.

headphones? So I don't use an amp for this? I would want to DI this or put it right into a cabinet live?
