this isn't a Nexus, this is a Droid with ICS. Giz got the facts wrong. Click on their BGR source link.

THIS IS NOT A NEXUS PHONE.

I didn't realize modern browsers even still allowed blink tags. In this time of reflection upon the legacy of Steve Jobs and impending hurricane disasters, I'm going to take a moment to fondly remember the internet of geocities and blink tags and dancing monkeys.

to add a single track on Android you need to play the track, go to the pane where the track info is, hit the "i" for information which will put an overlay over the cover art. One of those options will be to add that playing track to a playlist.

I know they don't service everywhere but Virgin Main Cabin Select is the most awesome thing ever.

The sense I got from the support forums for Spotify specifically were that two different teams were working on their respective platforms without really syncing up, which is why the two UIs are so dramatically different and have a very different feel.

for Spotify, they actually don't have a dedicated "HD" version. I should have been clearer. I don't have an iPhone but I downloaded the iPhone version emulated on the iPad to see the UI because my cousin was telling me all the great features he has on his iPhone that I don't on the Android version. And damn,

The app architecture for so many Android phones is piss poor.

Totally, the term relic is relative, but my Nexus One got Gingerbread without NFC or a multi-touch keyboard. Whatever new features are being rolled into ICS hardware won't make it to the Nexus S. Which is probably not that big a deal for a legacy owner, but I wouldn't buy a Nexus S today, or any current gen Android

within the next couple of months you'll see the next Nexus with Ice Cream Sandwich on it, which will make the Nexus S as much of a relic as my Nexus One is right now. Hold out a couple of months.

I don't know anything about their publishing policies but I am having a good enough experience letting them sell physical goods for me. They charge you a nominal amount for warehouse space, they do all fulfillment (the user doesn't even realize this is glorified consignment as it ships directly from their warehouse

Cowon just put out some PMPs with a full touchscreen running Android.

this is a super valid point. I have less than 200 megs for apps on my stock Nexus One, and any app with a widget option (most of them!) cannot be moved to the SD card. I understand there are hacks for rooted phones but I hate constantly uninstalling apps on a phone with internal memory PLUS an SD card because it

hah, I'm not totally sure. Like the rest of the world I've quickly forgotten that G+ exists, except that any time I use my phone's camera I get a notification in my web gmail that I have uploaded new pictures. If it's not even doing pseudo cloud storage for me then yes, that is freaky.

the only thing I would say about your first point is that people said Microsoft could never convince OEMs to remove bloatware from Windows machines and were able to substantially curb it with the release of Windows 7.

I admit I don't know as much about the WP7 OS as I do Android and iOS. I have used both extensively.

Google has always had much of the iCloud-y kind of stuff, without really marketing it as heavily as Apple is right now. Calendar, contacts, critical info always gets phoned home in real time so if you needed to get a new phone or restore you just sign into your google account, re-download your apps from the market

It is a little disconcerting, but I look at it more as a "cloud" feature, and if something happens to my phone I'll be happy it's storing all my photos even if I'm not actively sharing them.

Some of your points are definitely valid. There is one where I think you are way off the mark and want to clarify.

yeah it looks like it is intentionally vague and rolling so your observation is dead on.
