Part of me is wondering if they should just take this money and pay down the US deficit. I'm sure there is a terrible flaw in my logic (bailout comes to mind) but I'm not enough of an economist to wrap my head around it.
@SkipErnst: yeah I was thinking the same thing. Just a mini or micro USB port would be much more convenient.
@silver-bolt: I think you have the title to your million selling self help book right there: "My pond is made of tequila."
Don't the publishers have more to do with fixing the prices than Amazon/Apple?
@elementary: One cool competitive advantage of the Nook is that you can borrow e-books from the library. It supports the DRMed epubs which libraries use. It is what motivated me to finally get an NYC public library card :-)
@rtrudel: I read on my Nexus One in a supplemental fashion. A phone is a means to read, as is anything that has a screen.
@SmokenJoe: What are my rationalizations (there may very well be some) and what would you counter-propose? The web at large does need some great solutions.
@senshikaze: I agree that cookie dropping is not elegant and there are some very smart people right now trying to figure out their successor.
@amlamarra: would you rather pay for every website you visit?
@szrimaging: Yes, filtering cookies would kill everything, including all analytics tools.
As someone who does work in AdOps, not filtering cookies by default is good for the web in general.
@adoringava: Word? Please elaborate!
"Shure SCL4 Sound Isolating Earphone with High-Definition MicroSpeakers with Tuned BassPort for $99 with Free Shipping (normally $249)."
I'd actually love the remastered from the film Blu Ray versions of both Dragon's Lair and Space Ace.
@hfm: me too! I immediately thought of my throat getting slit from the inside by the little metal disc I just made.
@Saved By Zero: Who is next on the list? It better not be........RAPIEST APE!!!!!!
@GhostAmongMen: I bought my Nook because I didn't want a physical copy. My apartment is no longer pleased with me stacking up tons of physical books.
@dallasmay: sorta.
@CaptainJack: I have a nook and I like keeping it in big old man font and it doesn't bother me.
