It’s cool that a conservative company like Ford even took a swing at it with such a new vehicle. The first time I even heard of the Bronco R was when they put out the press release last month. If I’m going to be a Bronco customer, it will be good to know that they learned some lessons in some of the harshest racing

If the battery is modular, you should be able to swap out modules at a Ford dealership fairly quickly without having to wait longer for parts to replace the full battery. With a 100,000 mile/8 year warranty that seems like a pretty low risk proposition.

This is amazing and true LOL.

I’m getting a headache trying to research the difference between permanent magnet AC/Brushless DC. Without getting an electrical engineering degree, can I just remember that they’re the same thing with different names?

If the Cybertruck fails, my guess is that it will be because of the interior more than the exterior.

Ok I just read that Musk said production begins in 2021, which means production will actually start in 2022 and it will be on sale in 2023.

Weirdly, my only problem with the design is that the beltline is way too high and the rear seats look like they lack headroom.

Is it just me or does a Lincoln Navigator look more luxurious than this, at least in the front?

The nice thing about the Mach-E is that its battery has an 8 year, 100,000 mile warranty. I haven’t read this anywhere specifically about the Mach-E, but many BEV batteries these days are being developed as modular batteries, so if one section of cells goes down, you can spend a couple hundred bucks to replace just

The Chevy SS is literally the opposite of flashy. What you need is either a brightly colored mustang GT (obvious) or this:

I’m a weird guy who actually likes the look of black steelies. It’s kind of a rebellious, anti-vanity choice. That is to say I’d rather just see steelies than expensive 23 inch wheels that kinda look like steelies from a distance.

These wheels say “I’m your dad’s boss’s boss’s boss and yeah I know my wheels look ugly but I’m the boss so nobody can say anything but ‘nice wheels boss’.”

Agreed. The adoption curve will be much steeper than most OEMs are projecting right now.

Star White GT:

Actually you can get the GT and the First Edition in Grabber Blue. Unfortunately there seems to be a bug on the site that is hiding Grabber Blue from the GT. The official orderable configurations show that Grabber Blue is indeed available. I’m sure they’ll update the site soon as well.

It is. The interior is roomy-No powertrain or fuel tanks to get in the way.
In videos it looks similar to the volume of an Escape-possibly more, but less headroom because it’s not a tall car.

GIVE ME GRABBER BLUE OR GIVE ME DEATH

Neutral: the obvious answer is speed limits, but the more practical one in my life is parking laws. I wish so badly I could just park wherever I want with impunity. My city has the wildest parking rules that are impossible to keep up with. If I could get away with breaking parking rules it would save me so much more

Everyone is focused on the wrong part of the name. The “SUV” part is more of a misnomer than the “Mustang” part. It’s not that big! It may share a similar side profile to the CX-5, but it’s way smaller. It’s almost the same height as a Taurus! I’m short and I can see clear over the roof! It certainly fits “Mustang”
