Doesn’t the V10 R8 do 200? If that’s your criteria, do you disqualify the Porsche 911 Turbo, Ferrari 360 and many other sub-200 cars? To me a supercar is like porn: you know it when you see it. For example: no matter how fast the Bentley Continental GT gets, it will never be a Supercar.

They are clearly shooting for a different demographic here. You can tell just by the price. The New GT customer is probably cross-shopping this with the Ferrari F12, Lamborghini Aventador and McLaren 650 S, which all have lots of integrated tech.

Yup. I got to do price analyses on these guys as an intern at Chrysler last summer. Bottom line: they depreciate fast.
Such a good looking car, and so influential. You can see how the XLR influenced the whole modern GM design language. C7, Camaro, CTS, they all draw from this car.
