Are you lost?

Go watch a Fellini film then, for Christ’s sake. Morbius was bad. Jurassic World was bad.

I wonder if the truth behind the subject matter raised some eyebrows.

Counterpoint: Top Gun kicked ass, and if there’s one thing you CAN’T fault the Academy for, it’s nominating lots of big mainstream films.

It’s a fucking good movie.

That headline promised a lot and I wasn't disappointed.

Now playing

Probably my favourite Game of Thrones related content.

I think you need to wash your eyes out and try watching it again.

I’m here to throw shade on Avatar, which is just...not a good movie...plus technology.

The Exorcist III is one of the most underrated films ever. That jump scare is an all timer. It’s drawn out for so long and then you’re given the false scare. Really catches you off guard when it finally happens.

The greatest that’s ever been done is Nell’s scream in the car from The Haunting of Hill House. Not only is it absolutely terrifying in the moment, but it actually serves a purpose beyond that momentary scare, being fully rooted in the characters and leading to big understandings between them.

Under the Skin was from 2013, The Babadook & It Follows were from 2014, The Witch was 2015. A24 is the company associated with arty horror films, Blumhouse aims for cheap & profitable.

“...a horror film that would change the entire film landscape...”

You’re never going to convince me that there’s a real person named “Lucius Laviscount.” That’s clearly a villain from a Gothic horror novel (“Lucius the Viscount”? really??).

I don’t feel about Will Smith. I feel that performers should not be assaulted on stage.

I think the lack of CGI, and how real it all felt, also mattered.

Yeah, I had ZERO interest when I saw the trailer, and I was not a fan of the first film. But enough people were going on about it so I saw it and I had a blast. Just a perfect action movie. And a lot better than the original.

As someone with absolutely zero nostalgia for the original (only saw it a few days before I saw Maverick after being surprised Maverick got good reviews), I loved it. Just think it was a well-made action movie, with good momentum and an incredible third act.

If she is being abused or mistreated, that’s not cool. And I side with labor over capital. I support her being in a union and having that union be strong. I don’t see her employer doing anything rising to the level of mistreatment here, though.

I have a similar problem: directors won’t trust me with the script because they are afraid I will shred it into nesting material.
