Zahn, Stackpole, and a few others put out some great EU books. But for the most part the old EU was standard schlock that sold because of the Star Wars name, and some books like The Crystal Star were absolutely wretched.

I’m a pretty big Star Wars fan. I consumed the Dark Horse comics, many of the novels, and so on.

Then there are those of us that didn’t hate the prequels and saw them as what they were - more Star Wars movies.

I love the Extended Universe, but it is far too inaccessible to a new generation of Star Wars fans (and their wallets) to make a new movie franchise feasible in my view.

Can I just express the incredible awesomeness of that manager? Having worked, like many other people, in college food services, most of the managers were terrible. But this guy has his chefs willing to jump in to protect him, and he keeps his cool, isn’t a dick, and does his job flawlessly. Bravo to that guy!
