Optional’ overtime always feels worse than mandatory, because your workplace is essentially bullying you into making a pretend choice for them instead of just making the call and standing behind it. I hate it when businesses try to play the nice guy without, you know, actually being nice.

“I’m so sorry ___ couldn’t make it here today, we’re really gonna miss them but it’s fine. Those of you that are here will just have to work twice as hard.

They can pay lip-service to making crunch time non-mandated and say that they’ll work with managers to make sure they aren’t pressuring people into working when they don’t want to... but I seriously doubt that’s going to change the culture at all. What Jason described in the article is true: a boss telling you to do

“Better than consoles” doesn’t mean much. Console players have incredibly low standards. They’re willing to pay for basic multiplayer functionality. If you own a PS4, you need to pay for cloud saves too. Cloud Saves. Steam has more features than both XBL and PSN and at zero cost to customers. Those features are why

Nah, the developers are welcome to make whatever choices they want, just as I’m allowed to be upset when their choices inconvenience me. They want to make things epic store exclusive? Go for it, free country. I won’t buy them, and I’ll make my voice heard as to why.

You are wilfully overlooking issues with the Epic Store. For one thing, they don't sell anywhere other than on their own store.

Consoles are separate pieces of hardware. If console people had to bounce between six different store fronts with six different libraries that don’t coordinate between each other at all on an xbox or PS4, they’d be upset, too.

Not “losing my mind” (ugh, the hyperbolic irrationality of ‘internet gamers’), but I am tired of having to create even more logins, spreading my info to ever more file servers, etc. Having to sign up for Bethesda Launcher was one of the two big things (the other being “multiplayer/PvP”) that made me skip Fallout 76.

Except that two Kickstarter games are becoming Epic-timed-exclusive, so all those backers who selected the Steam version have to wait a year after launch to get the game they literally helped pay for development for.

But then I’d have to give my credit card to a company I don’t feel cares that much about my security.

Kicking things off by getting immediately defensive despite no instigation isn’t helping your case much.

LOOK AT MY BEAUTIFUL BLONDE SON, AERITH IS SO GORGEOUS WHERE AM I SOMEONE HOLD ME

It’s not super egregious on its own imo, but it’s really bad timing when put in the context of everything else the game is going through right now. Can’t really see how this helps anything.

Your assumption that jobs grow on trees is false.

My Mom is a nurse and hated being forced to be in a union. She’d complain about it constantly. Now that she’s moved to a state without a nursing union she’s realized what she was getting.

Forced arbitration blatantly disregards due process and should be illegal.

Except she’s not 13 in the show, they aged her up, and that scene along with all the other sexual violence towards women remains one of the most detested and spoken against parts of the show’s history.

I actually am enjoying Days Gone. Just want Deacon to shut up a bit.

Addressing (or simply mentioning) racism/racial discrimination, sexuality, gender, and the like are not political statements. Smh.

Not to be confused with Baratheon, or Bobbyvee as I like to call him.
