My understanding of “nice guys” is that they bitch about how they are so great but women won’t show them any interest because in reality they’re actually pieces of shit. Tom likes Summer, pines over her for a bit, they date for a while, and then he’s a miserable sadsack. I think that’s pretty standard romantic

You’re not in the grays generally, just in this thread because they dismissed your comments. That’s what you get for being a “hater.”

I’ll be honest, I’m on the bar’s side here.  That’s a pretty fucked up thing to say to someone.

Stop.

Captain Marvel does some bad guy switcheroos too.

Granted this is a random tweet, but it could be legit.

Yes, and clearly he’s being set up as a new, Iron-Man-like mentor for Spider-Man. Just don’t be shocked if he turns out to be evil and all of the wacky stuff going on is part of his illusion.

Yay!

To be fair Endgame handled it much better. It felt like an actual story point rather then a Whedon-isc chance to subvert expectations.

Accommodations meaning, you can eat salad, some raw veggies, maybe, without the non-vegan dip, and here’s a bowl of

I think a strength AND a weakness of the movie, in a sense, is that even when she believes herself to be Vers, Carol is always fundamentally Carol. From a pure narrative technique perspective, it makes her arc less pronounced, and the movie lacks a single definitive moment where her old self reawakens (on second

This is really good, thanks

Thanks for putting this up. Lindsay Ellis is amazing, and this is one of my faves of hers (check out also her trilogy of videos on The Hobbit).

His speech on the Milano in Infinity War all day long. So good.

Throw in a dash of “Aliens” as Ultron takes over the lower levels and starts manufacturing drones. The big fight scene where all the Avengers shred the drones can even begin with “THEY’RE COMING OUT OF THE WALLS!!!”

I thought about that, but I dunno - he was clearly strong with the force and had this huge army at his command, so you’d think he must be some kind of Sith lord... but they never explained any of it. I dunno, I’m always drawn more to the bad guys in movies and he seemed kind of superficially drawn with no backstory.
