The thing I hate most about this movie is how it slams in the anti-commercialism angle, which I think is honestly an incredibly juvenile read of the holiday. And, as this article points out, is soooooo hypocritical.

Nope! “Limited Series or Movie”, yes, but no tv series has done it.
It brought us the Swedish Chef singing “Rapper’s Delight” at karaoke and I will be eternally grateful for that.
Like what? You can’t just say “there are plenty of reasons” and then list none of them. Respiratory issues and being physically unable to put on/remove a mask. Those are the only reasons the CDC provides.
I don’t really see how that’s relevant?
The thing is, if you have a legitimate reason you can’t wear a mask...you just shouldn’t be going out.
Hey, The Boulder is in the list!
I was a very awkward kid at the beginning of college, and the big group that formed in my dorm was kind of wary of inviting me in (which, in hindsight, I totally get), but he was like “he’s a cool guy, we should invite him” and that’s how I ended up with my whole college friend group.
My first week in college, a guy in my dorm had a can of peaches he wanted to open, but he had no can opener.
And Tolkein arguably did that with Norse mythology! Creators draw from each other and always have.
I’m not saying she invented them. I pretty much explicitly said otherwise, when I acknowledged that Rowling pulled from Tolkein and Tolkein pulled from others.
Nah, they’re way more in line with the dementors than the Nazgul. The way they move and behave, they’re very much inspired by dementors.
It was one of those lines that 100% could have been a joke or could have been “I haven’t seen the whole series and happened to catch this episode”
Not sure if you’re kidding but that is literally why he was brought in to begin with, Jake used him as a Boyle lookalike for part of one of his schemes.
Oh I’m not worried about them having Boyle and Terry act like assholes. But having that happen and have Jake not react to it, like at all, seemed odd.
But...there was nothing serious in the Kwazy Kupcakes subplot?
Unless the crime is like...murder or something.
Sure, but, y’know, you don’t find out it’s about a time loop until you’re already a solid chunk of the way through the article. And it’s not the only thing the article talks about.
In the poster’s slight defense, this is far better than the people who click on articles about things they know they don’t like and then comment.
Ah okay, I wasn’t aware of the cost disparity.
