Each Law & Order episode is written as one solid unit with a set group of writers. This was not. If another writer comes along and changes what has been established (and let’s remember, Rey is the one who acknowledged her parents as nobodies), that’s a retcon. If Johnson wrote the new one and revealed that Kylo was

Yeah, again, there are dumb ways to spin this so it isn’t true. And I won’t rule out the possibility that they would do it.

Die Hard: Avengers actually sounds fucking great

But how is the character literally saying, herself, that her parents were nobodies not hard evidence?

I mean, yeah, they’ve got fries and fruit cups and some shitty salads but like...an actual meal?

I mean, I’m not saying they haven’t thought about it. It just seems a little surprising

I was thinking the other day that McDonald’s really doesn’t have any vegetarian options, which is kind of strange in this day and age. I’m surprised they haven’t done anything yet.

That isn’t all I want...it was just better than the rest of the movie.

We don’t need to know what the characters are thinking. We have to listen to what they’re saying. Rey says her parents were nobodies. You’re simultaneously ignoring what was said and complaining that they aren’t being explicit.

I stand by my belief that this movie should have just been 2 hours of the party at the beginning.

You really think AoU is better than Civil War or Infinity War?

But here’s the problem.

I think you’re overestimating the reasoning of an 8 year old, honestly.

You’re being willfully dense.

The fact that we only see 5 seconds of her memories doesn’t mean she ONLY HAS FIVE SECONDS OF MEMORIES. She knows who left her on Jakku, she at the very least believes these people to be her parents, and she admits that what Kylo Ren says is true.

He can’t make shit up that doesn’t align with her actual memories of her childhood. Yeah, I’m sure they could find some lame ass excuse to retcon it away, but they gave plenty of evidence that her parents are nobodies and however they retcon it would be a lame ass excuse.

Yeah...pretty much. I mean, she has memories of her parents leaving her on Jakku, she knows who they are, she was in denial about it. Kylo Ren might have gotten her to finally admit it, but she has memories of her parents that we see from the first movie. He can’t just make that shit up. She wanted to live out a

It isn’t to say that every important character has to be from some grand lineage. But for two of the three trilogies, the protagonist that is expected to save the galaxy is because of either A) a mystical grand destiny or B) being the son of a mystical grand destiny.

I always promise to go see superhero movies with my dad for the first time, so I just pretend I haven’t seen it yet.

Also worth noting: the third film in each trilogy is named after an order of force users.
