It sort of did though?
It sort of did though?
“Why we’re taking anything Kylo Ren says at face value is a mystery to me”
It was less that and more “it doesn’t matter how you were born, it’s what you do that matters”. Rey’s parents are irrelevant, Rey has to take her own actions.
Oh I like Iron Man 3. 2 was the terrible one.
I still think Iron Man 2 is worse. This one is boring and forgettable, but never struck me as actively bad.
I made this last night. Turned out very well!
I think there is something to be said for the argument that it was less of a planned arc and more of another writer coming up with a justification for keeping the character around but...I mean, it still ends up a totally valid arc regardless.
I mean, I think the movie does plenty to hint at the Iron Legion. Tony has built a huge number of suits that can run on autopilot. He “quits” at the end, but he relapses back into that idea between 3 and AoU
Mandarin wasn’t the villain of the Extremis storyline.
I really like Iron Man 3. The villain is definitely one of the most boring in the MCU, and that’s a competitive list, but pretty much everything else is really good.
Tony giving Mandarin his home address with no actual plan is...kind of the point. Guy is going through a mental breakdown and not making smart decisions at all.
I find it interesting more to due to the constraints than anything. Marvel wanted to create a universe of films and they were without their two biggest franchises.
I define it pretty simply. My mom knew who Spider-Man, X-Men, and Hulk were. She knew Superman, Batman & Robin, and Wonder Woman.
“After this, though, they’ve proven their thesis and will mostly be striving to maintain quality rather than prove anything new.”
Oh yeah! Good call
This movie probably had some of the weakest costuming of the bunch, I’d say. That Cap outfit just did not work.
It was this. Thor end credits were for Cap, if I remember correctly, and Cap end credits were Loki looking at the cosmic cube, I think.
I feel like Avengers doesn’t hold up as well as it used to as an overall film, but man it has some fantastic scenes.
There’s a difference between calling them the “scrappy underdogs” and acknowledging that this was all a very risky, expensive idea. To pretend that it wasn’t is revisionist history.
Ooh Halal Guys is good.
