I find that pancetta doesn’t usually crisp well enough, and it isn’t usually cut to the right thickness

I’ve never had it, but since it uses horseradish, it can’t really be calculated on the Scoville scale...that’s reserved for peppers/capsaicin.
But what I came to do is drink mimosas for as long as possible!
...it was pretty great.
I’ve had racist thoughts before, I don’t deny that. I grew up in Kentucky, heard plenty of awful, racist shit and it took some time to kind of deprogram that.
2014, 2017, and 2018 are the big three, I think.
Okay, one, my point is that a vegan shouldn’t be “demanding” vegan friendly food. A meal, by default, should have some aspects that are vegetarian/vegan friendly. Meals usually consist of various dishes. It should be assumed that at least some of these dishes do not have meat.
In which case, you should alert the host before hand, as that as a serious, unprecedented medical restriction. I’m sure they’d work to accommodate you.
A vegan serving meat is violating their own ethical codes. And anyway, why would you want a person who does not eat meat and likely hasn’t cooked in a long time/maybe ever to cook meat for you? Do you think they know what they’re doing?
Someone who was on meth and not making the best decisions?
Your argument only works from a carnivore angle, though.
But it’s entirely fair for them to expect something for them.
I’ve never thought I’d have to explain the incredibly basic concept of “you don’t have to eat meat every meal, they aren’t obligated to serve it to you if they think it is wrong” but...here we are.
Okay, let’s break this down really, really simply since you just do not seem to get it:
Good lord are you dense.
If someone has a health or ethical concern that requires them to eat meat at every meal, then yes, they should alert the person hosting dinner and that should be catered to in some fashion. But that is very, very much in the minority. If you just don’t want to go a meal without meat...well, I don’t think that person…
I mean, I’m not skeptical of this.
And I mean...I think most people, regardless of diet, would be upset about any dinner party that literally only had meat.
Wow. You are legit a crazy person.
I don’t think being vegan or not vegan determines if you are a good or bad person. I just don’t think it’s that unreasonable to go one meal without meat if the person serving you is ethically opposed to making meat.
