For the same reason non-alcoholic beer exists? People give up things that they like, and stuff like this can help fill the void.

So for some reason, Kinja won’t load comments for me any more. Hasn’t been working since at least Friday and I have no idea if this will post. But I just want to throw it out there that “University High School” is the most generic but also nonsensical name for a high school I’ve ever heard.
It isn’t “the rapist got beat up in this joke”. It’s “the rapist got beat up and that is the joke”. It isn’t incidental, like there was a rape joke that happened to feature the rapist getting beat up. The primary comedic aspect of the joke was this big tough guy threatening rape (sort of? totally plausible that he…
See, that’s the thing. You’re claiming I think rape is funny. I don’t.
Do you...really not see the difference in laughing at rape (or a rape victim for being raped) and enjoying the humiliation of a rapist?
Nah, you’re just not the brightest and you can’t seem to understand that there is a difference between making a joke out of a rapist (what this scene does) and making a joke out of rape.
Where does this scene show that rape is humorous? Answer the question.
Nah. He’s going to accuse me of defending rape culture, I want him to stick to his guns.
Answer the question. Where is the act of rape treated like a joke in this clip? The only “joke” is the rapist getting the shit knocked out of him and put in his place immediately.
But where in that situation is rape/sexual assault treated like a funny topic? Because I don’t see where the movie wants us to laugh at Peter being raped.
But I mean...it wasn’t a sexual assault/rape joke. The way that guy was talking to Peter doesn’t come across as comical, we aren’t supposed to be laughing that this guy is implying either eating or raping him, it comes across as terrifying, and he immediately gets his comeuppance.
Hillary wasn’t a very good candidate though. That doesn’t mean she would have been a bad president or anything like that. And that isn’t to say that people not connecting with her is all or even mostly her fault
Eh, I don’t get the satisfaction of seeing Trump get body slammed.
You realize that a lot of people working in the service industries aren’t doing it for a career, right? They’re working their way through college or as a second job at night or whatever. Yeah, it usually isn’t hard to find a fulltime job with at least somewhat decent pay, even without a degree. But finding one while…
I have less of a baseline percentage and more of a baseline amount. When I go out to eat, I eat at a lot of diners or slightly above fast casual places, where you have a server but your bill could easily come up anywhere from $8-15. I always tip at least 4 bucks no matter what. If it goes above that, I usually go…
Eh. I got a computer science degree from a pretty damn good university. Might be more your specialty than mine, but I know my fair amount.
And that also applies to his daughter. Disown her.
Yeah bud, I’m sure you have a better idea of how the restaurant I managed works than I do.
Dude, no. You’re wrong. When we get X amount of ANYTHING, we have a range of sales that it is supposed to cover. If it isn’t covering that, that ruins our numbers. Yeah, obviously you get less control over soda than anything else, and it can be thrown off without anyone stealing anything. But it all still matters,…
What difference does it really make to you?
