Sure, but then we’d have to drastically raise the price of like everything else. It isn’t like a lot of restaurants are just rolling in profits, it’s a pretty thin margin...and honestly I think it’s best to put it on soda. It’s the easiest thing to cut out if you’re actually opposed to the pricing

That’s why you just dramatically rephrase the sentence.

Well, that one is funny in that it really was multiple separate songs just mashed together.

Well then, you’re arguing with me about a point I’m not making. I never said that chasing this guy outside for 2 bucks was a good idea. Even when I had a bonus check on the line I wasn’t doing that kind of dumb shit.

Guess what? Coca cola got their money the moment the syrup was bought. They don’t care if it gets stolen from there, they’ve already gotten their money. If anything, intentionally wasting soda (like you seem to be advocating) or stealing just hurts the restaurant and makes them buy more syrup from Coca Cola.

None of that justifies stealing, and stealing can throw it off by minor amounts. And those small shifts can be a big deal in the long run.

One...so what? Does the fact that I get bonus checks suddenly justify you stealing?

To an extent, sure. Just like we plan on some food getting wasted in general, all kinds of stuff. But...enough little shit can ruin things. Food cost gets thrown off by a tenth of a percent, that can make a difference between me being able to pay rent.

I hope you understand that wasn’t the point I was trying to make.

Eh, I only suggested that because the previous guy brought up lower voter turnout for black Americans. My primary point was that you could hypothetically blame a lot of people

Doesn’t matter what was stolen. The issue is the violence.

It’s the worst. Having to call out people on that bullshit is almost enough reason to let them get away with it.

There’s a difference between shoplifting and getting caught shoplifting and kicking someone while trying to get away.

Sort of. The cost isn’t the actual cost of the food being sold...it’s the lost profit because someone stole something rather than buying it. You may be costing the restaurant a few cents in syrup and paper costs, but you’re costing the place a couple bucks because that’s what they are charging for it that you’re not

Going from a democrat president to republican president is a normal political swing.

RBG’s does come with a significant qualifier, though. She didn’t say a hotdog was a sandwich, she said that based off of Stephen Colbert’s definition of a sandwich, a hotdog was one.

There could be, y’know, multiple problems? Trump’s election was a failure by a lot of people in a lot of different areas. You could blame black people for not voting or you could blame white people for voting for Trump. There is plenty of blame to be thrown around.

I feel like this segment was a good idea that is getting increasingly diminishing returns.

He liked to take every opportunity he could possibly get a hold of a microphone to make a complete joke of himself. I’ve never seen someone so lacking in self awareness.

I went to college with Tom Hanks’ son. I was talking to a guy at a party once and apparently on move-in day his freshman year, his parents stopped at a Starbucks. Tom Hanks was there. The kid’s mom thought it was Tom Hanks, but the dad was like “why would Tom Hanks be in a random Starbucks in Evanston, Illinois?”
