Well, yeah. You’re posting a comment on an article. Presumably you’re trying to say something related to the article. Apparently the obvious answer that everyone assumed wasn’t accurate.

Then what exactly did you mean? Elaborate. Because I think everyone here got the exact same implication I did, so if that isn’t what you meant, you did a really shitty job of communicating.
I mean it comes down to execution but...honestly that pilot, conceptually, sounds pretty hilarious. I was always deeply disturbed by the “sympathetic serial killer” vibe that Dexter and other shows had, and taking it to an extreme like that shows how disgusting it is.
Based on your comment, you seem to think that a company not paying for meat is “forcing their beliefs” on others. And that’s nonsense.
But if they don’t want to pay for meat, isn’t forcing them to do so kind of the exact same thing? Even worse, arguably.
I mean, why? At least at my company, expensed meals always come with some kind of limit. Like you can expense drinks, but if you completely overdo it, you’ll hit some hot water. You can expense a flight, but you’re not entitled to first class when you do so. How is this any different?
So...it’s okay to force the company to pay for meals with meat, but not okay for the company to choose not to do that?
YEAH, THAT’LL SHOW ‘EM!
As someone with a vegetarian girlfriend I can say right now...you’re totally full of it, dude.
I think season 2 was overall better than 1, though I definitely understand your issues with 2, as I think 2 had a different set of issues than 1 did.
It’s because the worst of us have spent all of our time claiming that cartoons/comics can be “for adults” and all that and they never seem to realize that having a desperate need to seem adult is one of the most juvenile things you can do.
I was discussing something with my sister today and...i think that a lot of older conservatives lost sight of what the world should be working towards.
I think the issue with fiscal conservatism next to social liberalism is that fiscal conservatism essentially supports the existing power structure. The less redistribution of wealth that exists, the more the system favors those that already have power and wealth (and obviously harms those that don’t have those…
Damn I’ve never watched this show and now I’m very much reconsidering it.
I didn’t say the show was terrible. I said the animation was. But you seem to not know the difference between animation and art style.
But you haven’t seen the animation of the new one. A few still images, sure, but you haven’t actually seen it in motion. That makes a huuuuuge difference. Because the original She-Ra animation was absolutely terrible.
Being tempted is not about what you know, it’s about what you want. It’s about instinct and desire. Intellectually, Luke knew it was the wrong thing to do, which is why he didn’t do it. But his first instinct was to act. That’s a very normal, human, reasonable response. It’s very good writing.
One, the force vision thing isn’t seen in practice in ESB. Everything Luke saw occurred before he made it to Bespin. He could have stayed or not, they still would have been captured and tortured. None of his vision took place after he arrived in Cloud City.
He did learn the lesson, which is why he didn’t, y’know, try to kill Ben. He had one moment of reflexive panic after having a vision of every terrible thing Ben was going to do, but then he immediately stopped himself.
Sure, why not?
