I don’t think I could stand going to a new Outback from a WRX. I’ve had Outbacks as loaners from various dealers over the last few years, and they’re, frankly, too big and too slow. I'd be looking at other manufacturers, because Subaru doesn't make anything anymore that interests me.

How do you adjust the speedometer and odometer to accommodate the change in tire radius?

Why release winch kits for the XV when it’s the WRXs that end up in ditches?

Plainly, exploits. The older the firmware, the more options you have for breaking its security.

First step should be: Know your audience. If you’re gifting a console to someone who just wants to play games or isn’t really the tinkering type, updating the console ahead of time will probably be safe; however, if you’re intending to gift to a console and/or videogaming enthusiast, leave it in the box and let them

Bit of a misleading headline; they’re not actually GameCube controllers, because they won’t work on a GameCube. GameCube-style Switch controllers? Absolutely.

They announced that the Game Awards were sponsored by Samsung this year, right before a segment with Linus of LinusTechTips talking about some Samsung TVs; so, yeah, that was an ad for Samsung. It might not have been shown if you werent watching the main stream.

I missed the first hour, hopped on the stream, and then had to stop watching because they started running Samsung ads instead of showing anything interesting.

Heres the rtings review for those who are interested. Low input lag in game mode, but (and probably to be expected at this price point), mediocre image and build quality, and forced ads and tracking on the main screen.

Does it run on original hardware?

Cool. Let’s weaken our security just to get a game to run. That’s a great idea!

I’m not sure about the rechargeables specifically, but Amazon’s regular batteries are, reportedly, a tad explodey.

Sure, the console may come with one controller but imagine if you have some local games and you want to play with a friend. That kb and mouse is a sale that they won’t get.

So, Windows only? Or will this also be available for macOS and/or Linux?

I was aware of Red Faction 2; FFXI on PS2 also supported keyboard and mouse (The Xbox 360 version apparently supported keyboard but not mouse for some reason).

The Dreamcast version of Rez supports the Dreamcast mouse for play, a feature that I believe later console versions lack—the PS2 version definitely doesn’t, and I’m confident that Rez HD doesn’t either. Rez Infinite apparently does support mouse controls on Windows, but it wouldn’t surprise me if the console versions

Honestly, the camera in the original is fine, and the tracking in some levels (like the Enchanted Forest) feels (to me) intentional.

I think its a prime choice for a remake, because its still a pretty good game; however, I think whoever did the remake didnt really get a sense of the little things that were present in the original. Plus, how do you release something with horizontal camera inversion but not vertical camera inversion?

It absolutely is a screengrab from a prerendered cutscene. I dont understand why Zach didn’t include any screenshot comparisons of actual gameplay--those would have night and day differences.

I’ve played through the original MediEvil and played the remake’s demo within a short amount of time, and, just going by the demo, I think the remake hits a lot of good notes, but I found it missing some of the little things (Dan’s “Ah...” after the main health bar fills, being able to just smash open chests with your
