Of course. Buying any performance-oriented car without a PPI is a huge gamble anyway, so that was just assumed. Put $200 or so on the line to avoid years of costly service? Seems like an easy decision to make.

Solid price, IMO. Pre-recession GM, manual, RWD, largely-stock, and 116k mi on an LS? It’s got plenty of life left and is a decently appointed car in a very niche spec, especially for today’s car market.

Yep, agreed, and the credit pricing for gas seems to be a regional thing, too. For me, Costco always has the cheapest gas around anyway, and they’re CC-only.

I really just think this guy in uninformed. Rarely is there ever an added CC fee, and if so, that’s imposed by the retailer to cover their costs associated with accepting your flavor of CC. Go to any major retailer and try to pay with cash or CC and the bill will be the same.

Since you seem to be in the know, how about the Envoy and its sisters? I see those things with the brakes beat off of them, not a single good body panel left, sitting off-axis, with something like 300k mi just trundling along eating up more miles.

I doubt the 2nd row will beat the Maverick.  Body on frame doesn’t lend itself to as much room there as the Maverick’s unibody would.

Sounds like 110% of the justification needed to go to rear discs. I’d take the “burden” and cost of changing discs and pads out over having non-functional rear brakes that never have to be replaced.*

Ok, so it’s front biased, but not 100% front, assuming your rear wheels are on the ground. Are the rear drums even doing anything? Drum auto-adjusters are notoriously bad at actually keeping things in working order. Maybe you’re burning up front brakes because you have a total lack of rears contributing to the

Speaking of resting on laurels, I’m glad to see (in that 2nd photo) that it’s finally getting rear disc brakes!  Servicing drums is just a massive pain in the ass and they hardly offer any benefits over today’s modern discs.  Especially when paired with an inside-the-rotor-tophat drum-style parking brake.  The

Just another Shill(ing) article...

Love me a G70 sedan, but can’t justify another car with MI insurance costs.  But 4 doors, turbo 4, RWD, manual, LSD, and Brembo brakes?  All stuffed under a mild-luxury interior?  With a kickass warranty?  They really do tick a lot of the boxes.  The dark green and icy blue paint options are gorgeous, as well.

Yep, very different engines.  The 3.0 is derived from the 2.7 and the 2.7 is basically a clean-sheet design deviating wildly in design from the 3.5.

Interesting. I wonder why this is the case for a RWD motorcycle, but not a RWD car.

Really, though, what are you hauling that’s more than 1500 pounds anyway?

Is your front tire directional and on backwards?  I don’t know shit about fuck when it comes to bikes, but it looks like it’s opposing your rear tire.

Left lane =/= “fast”, left lane = passing.

Just about the only way to get stopped in PA is to speed on the sparsely patrolled turnpike or to speed in an active school zone. Seeing that ONLY state troopers are allowed to run radar (and only radar, not laser), county and local PDs are relegated to timing/VASCAR. And at least on the western half of the state,

I do sometimes wonder if Erik ever wants to put on the concrete shoes instead of writing yet another UAW article. The editors continue to have him write these articles about their continual missteps and blunders despite his previous pieces and the penning of that one line which now haunts each of his union-related

I know why they do it, because build variations mean cost to them, but I still hate it. The saving grace (I think) for the 2.7TT Broncos is that the 2.7 and 5.0 use the same 10sp auto in the F150 and the 5.0 gets a stick in the Mustang. In theory, they should have the same bellhousing and all of that, so a Mustang 6sp

Hold the OEMs accountable for people stealing cars? This is just more Detroit vs. Detroit...
