You are comparing apples & oranges. I was talking about fast food, a place that pays minimum wage. My understanding is Walmart pays barely above minimum wage & gives very few hours (less than 30 a week). Fast food, you can work up to 39 hours before they make you clock out because they don't want to pay for overtime.

That's a very optimistic view. If you up the minimum wage, all that will happen is the same fast food restaurants will up the costs of food on their menu to match the new minimum wage and keep sending their employees to get food stamps/government assistance. Good luck with the death part. We don't even put drunk drivers who murder someone with their car in jail for 25 year. My friend's father was killed by a drunk driver. Dude's only in jail for 7 years. If I recall correctly, that was the 3rd person the drunk driver at the very least "hurt" with his negligence.
