If the AI for Carcassonne on iPhone is anything like the AI on Xbox, it's not anywhere near up-to-snuff. It might be fine for beginning players but my girlfriend and I both consistently beat Expert AI by 25 points.

I would theoretically love to buy one of these things, but if they don't have a reasonably-priced WiFi version my fiancée would skin me alive when it shows up at my doorstep.

@iwuzbord: Don't forget the XBox-ified Tiger Woods on slide #4. But yes, the bulls and tractors (and the really really really bad wheat) on last slide take the cake.

This looks like a 12-year-old's first project with Photoshop.

I'm not sure how much reporting has been done on this on Giz already (thus maybe I missed a lot about it) but I feel like not having the location of this building in the piece is a pretty big omission. @MifuneT: Thanks for pointing this out, it was the first thing I thought.

This is pretty useful. Just to throw it out there, although it's not really designed for this purpose Identifont.com can also give you some choices if you're looking for a specific fontset.

@zmnatz: They're going to sell a veritable pile of Nooks to people who are not-at-all tech-savvy. Last time I stopped at a B&N there were 3 people at the kiosk asking questions of the employees there.

@TuxBobble: I liken it to the difference between walking around with a cardboard box on your head with a 2" hole to see out of, and then suddenly taking off the box. When the image in question goes from taking up a reasonable percentage of your field of view, but still being clearly a screen, to taking up your entire
