I don’t know how else to say this but, that kinda sounds like a you problem. If you aren’t going to have an open mind, you have no idea what you are missing right now.

You realize that Tony George and the IRL are a relic now, right? American Open Wheel racing has been a single entity since about 2008 or so, and has been on a fantastic upward trajectory. It’s taken a while to get out of the rubble of the IRL fiasco, but the only bad thing I can really say about the series and the

True, but in 1996, he was a nobody to all but dedicated fans. I don’t believe that Buddy Lazier had finished on the lead lap of ANY race he had entered (and DNQ’d more than actually made the field for Indy) up until his Indy win.  He found his niche and success with the IRL split, but until 1996 the guy could have

Don’t they already have it?

2026.

Bummer.  Can’t say I would have bought one, but I really liked it and hoped for their success.

Well, apparently the new Editor In Chief has decided not to listen to the masses who asked him to actually, you know... edit.

If you are the EDITOR In Chief, please edit, as very few of the journalists employed at Jalopnik seem to care to do it themselves.

It’s Red Bull -- this is the stuff that they do...

I wonder if there’s an option to buy the “evergreen.bus” Insta account, as well... :/

I just watched the highlights of this race on F1TV. What a shit show! It’s also crazy seeing any cars parked retired on the hot track, never mind that sheer number of obstacles left out there during this race. Surprised that more drivers and marshals were not seriously injured or killed during this era.

Happy to say I’ve seen six of these in museums (I’m not sure if there was a CLK GTR at either of the Technik-Museums in Germany -- it’s been a while -- so, maybe seven): Miura, PC-23, Auburn Boattail Speedster, Auto Union, Vector, 2000 GT.

Straight CP.

Fair enough. I do agree that prejudices and discriminations in the automotive world are subjects that need to be examined. I’m whole-heartedly in that camp. I very much appreciated the way that Elizabeth covered that sort of thing in her weekend writings — most often about instances of such in the racing

I must have been traveling or something that weekend and missed it, because I don’t remember seeing that poll/question/post. But, less motorsport on the weekends? That’s really what The People wanted? Weekend ARE for motorsports. That’s when almost all of the racing happens. Most of Elizabeth’s historical articles

Aloha, from an American in the Netherlands (currently holed up in New Jersey for... reasons). I was dismayed and skeptical when I saw, “New Weekend Editor”, if I have to be honest; you’ve got big (well, little, technically) shoes to fill after having Elizabeth Blackstock writing here on weekends for the past while —

My sister’s ex-husband used to over-the-wall for Dave Marcis many beers ago when pit crews were weekend warriors and not always a traveling unit across the entire season. I know he was always at Pocono, but there were a few other races annually that I can’t remember, as well.

Is this a repost of one of the 957 other articles about how bad and unethical PMR was...?

If it were an auto I miiiiiiiiight entertain it in my imagination (physically can’t drive a manual transmission). This might be the rare case where it is ok to buy someone else’s project. I’m not worried about what’s under the hood or the “patina”, but the underside scares me. I honestly don’t know enough about car

Exactly. Seems the security guard isn’t the only one who has no idea how the military works. If there’s any meager defense for the gate checker, it’s that yes, she IS too young to be an E-6 in the regular army, or any other reserve or Guard component of the military. Graduating college and completing OTS is a
