Right so after using Recboot the phone booted into a connect to itunes screen with "slide for emergency " in alternating languages on the bottom....

There is no "iPhone Software Updates" file on my computer (OSX). I just got the phone from a friend yesterday- how do I get that file to appear on my computer?
