I liked Ardyn more as a possible third side of the conflict with his own mysterious agenda that runs parallel to Noctis’ journey but with potentially different goals, something along the lines of Uncle Iroh.
I didn’t think I hated the twins in my first playthrough, but as I finished each DLC (which I enjoyed! Every one from the Season 1 Pass!) and got back into the main game, I was just, “Ugh, these puds.”

The parts of FFXV I liked I really, REALLY liked. Wandering around the open world dicking around with your friends - the ultimate fantasy road trip.

I had Assault on the Control Room basically memorized at one point except for one specific section that I always skipped once I learned the “Sprint out of the door and steal the Banshee before the Elite can take off” method of finishing the level.
