It's indeed a great film - the best superhero film since The Dark Knight - but I'm going to wait and see how Prometheus and Dark Knight Rises turn out before I make any hasty judgments.

That's for inflation-adjusted domestic-only total grosses (including re-releases as you say).

It's a silly line. The movie didn't need it. It wouldn't have hurt the movie substantially to put it in, but the only reason for it to be there would have been fan service.

I like the reference to Mecha Death Christ "alternate ending."

Those are definitely cute.

"The big mystery of her face is answered with a stock photo."

"But honestly, it could be something as simple as the art director (who we all have to respect, I mean, damn. ME is beautiful) seeing this random stock image and he's thinking "EUREKA, THIS MUST BE TALI'S FACE!"."

Loads of games and movies use them, even really good ones. I mean, Half-Life 2 has stock images in it, for example.

It's a minor sin to be sure, though it still comes off as pretty disappointing for a number of reasons. One being that they used a stock image, another being that they didn't actually put the effort to render Tali's face in-game (despite her demasking on Rannoch). A third being that she is remarkably human-looking for

"And Stannis had no idea it was happening until Cressen dropped dead — what was he supposed to do to stop it?"

Not necessarily, but it was a common belief throughout history. It's why, for example, harems were often guarded by eunuchs and the closest advisers of the Chinese emperors during the Ming dynasty were eunuchs as well.

Classic D&D alignments are waaay more flexible than the usual Good vs. Evil dichotomy, while still being recognizable enough for wide use.

That's a really good point I've never ever heard raised before. But it makes total sense.

Not to mention his sudden and seemingly random decision to pilot the new Iron Monger suit himself. Why bother? He didn't know Stark was alive (he had every reason to assume he was dead). Why get in a big suit of power armor and go raging across the streets of Los Angeles for no apparent reason? That doesn't seem to

In-universe I believe the first Death Star had an atrociously long recharge time, so they were actually saving time by going around Yavin rather than shooting through it. Death Star II (which was much bigger) didn't have this problem and was able to shoot multiple, individual starships within the same battle.

"Melissandre is Lawful Evil, but Stannis is not - he might become so when all he said and done, but right now he is on the slippery slope toward Evil, but not there yet IMO. (Haven't read book 4-5)"

"Stannis would not use people like Gregor Clegane. Stannis would not plot with Lord Frey."

I personally think he's more of LN slipping into LE myself. Honor and duty matter to him, sure, but he's becoming more and more wrapped up in his own pride and spite the longer he fights for his throne.

*serves, not severs

That's not how alignment is supposed to work. If you're playing it as a straightjacket, than you're doing it wrong.
