Will Toyota wait another 15 years before updating this one like they did the last?

What’s worse, buying an aged R35, or folks buying a 2021 Tundra, a very mainstream vehicle, that is from 2007.

Tundra sure feels a lot more dated...

Clickbait sub-heading because its an Elon company.

S52 just doesn’t impress me. Too complicated for no reason. A physically smaller GM LS6 from the same time period made more power while being more reliable, easier to work on, more fuel efficient, and far less complicated. And you aren’t going to miss that extra 400RPM of redline the S52 gets you.  BMW could, and

I’m traveling to a resort with my wife and daughter Riviera Maya area of Mexico in a week. Luckily the only test we need is the COVID test to get back to the US.

No idea how I’m getting said test, but assume it is on the resort.  No intentions of

The union thing is shitty.  Period.

I have 0.0 interest in one, but the price seems reasonable for what it is.

Why is everyone comparing this to the TRX and Raptor? GM hasn’t, for whatever dumb reason, not built a truck to compete with those two. This isn’t priced as high as those two (assuming similar options) and isn’t as hardcore of an off roader. Not sure why Toyota and Nissan aren’t also lumped into the conversation as

This thing isn’t worth 10k with a clean title readily available and a full tank of fresh fuel.

The mineral oil system alone will cost the owner the purchase price in short order. If you think a missing title, light on details Rolls doesn’t have a large list of issues, well, go ahead and buy it and later tell your kids

Hybrid = FWD only. Friends don’t let friends drive FWD. Especially FWD trucks.

I see this as a total non-issue.

Sure curious where all of these folks saying it is price too high are finding their low 30k (or lower) Factory Five or other quality Cobra replicas.  Please share.

With all of them you have to do that, but it is pretty easy to skip past the ads as they make them pretty predictable.  Add in an Ad Blocker and no ads to annoy me.

I watch several YouTube car guys (Hoovies Garage, Tavarish, WatchJRGo, Wrench Every Day, Goat Rope Garage, some Dougie D) and they all have gimmicks. But man, this dude is hard to take.

Weak and inconsistent.

My last flight, there were two lines of security. One was clearly (and loudly) telling everyone to take out their laptops, tablets, etc. I was on a work trip so I had my work laptop and my Surface Pro 7, meaning I had two devices to contend with. My line, in a much quieter voice, was saying not

According to 2020 numbers, only 32% of TSA’s budget is paid for by these fees. Even if you just look at their operations and support budget, this is a little less than half. Meaning the TSA agents are not “primarily” by these fees and still coming out of the tax dollars of those not even traveling by plane.

I’m all for

Rimac Concept One and Concept S. 1224 - 1384HP AWD, torque vectoring electric monster.

The pat down is bad enough - a strip search is inexcusable.

Absolutely. Multiple studies have proven that the TSA is ineffective and a HUGE waste of tax dollars.

I’m not surprised at all that this incident happened, based on how I’ve seen a number of TSA employees handle themselves. I’ve had good interactions with a few as well, so I won’t lump them all together, but more

Where are all the “dope” cars? I see nothing I would ever purchase. Even during my broke as shit days, I don’t see anything appealing in the list. Let’s see:
- A Ford Galaxy - a boring boomer car
- FWD Buick - really?
- Lancia...that’s a beater I won’t let park in my driveway
- Bike looks cool enough, but the one thing

Cost of ownership != cost of the vehicle itself. The cost of the vehicle is the ONLY thing that matters in this specific discussion. If the Latin vehicles actual sale price, excluding all other factors (tariffs, taxes, etc.), is cheaper, then there is your answer. If not, then the manufacturers are simply padding
