Absolutely. That’s the biggest story of the race results IMO. Best Haas finish since 2018, and tied for the best finish they have ever had. More points than they had in 2020 and 2021 combined. Best season opener finish they have ever had. First season opener where both cars finished.

Will it continue throughout the

I read this article without seeing who wrote it, and knew half way in who created this shit show of an article.

This whole “your father in-law” order one, or boomers being the main customers, isn’t really the case as much now. Plenty of younger people ordering these, at least those affluent enough to be able to afford a 100k car. Friend of mine just put himself on the wait list at his local dealer, but is #20 on the list.

I

There are two pieces to this, not covered in typical poorly written, copied shit from other sources, Erin Marquis article.

#1 - If this is for package delivery (FedEx/UPS/Amazon truck to your house), why would one need a CDL? Most of those vehicles they use don’t require one. Further, how are the packages getting to

A rural gas station in Michigan that once allowed pump-then-pay gas is changing its process after drive-offs increased dramatically over the last week.

Neither.  Get yourself a used, proper performance car, not a new warmed over FWD econobox.

So, what’s up with you?

The price rise on the 996 is insane. 7 years ago I was shopping for a fun 3.8 season daily (basically, daily when there wasn’t snow on the road). Looking at Carrera 2 and 4 models, could score a manual coupe in the high teens in good shape under 100k miles.

Drove one, felt wanting for more HP and tech.  Ended up with a

I’ve seen one at a car show years ago, but that’s it.  Gaining 700lbs didn’t help it, which just means they were marketing total BS.

It will sell over MSRP, but not for that stupid amount over MSRP.  Plenty of cars being flipped for over sticker.

I remember reading about this car as a kid in the 80's.  Cool that they restored a record breaking car, but it’s a totally pointless, useless car.

ND. For this price, it should be a fully sorted swap, not a mostly done but couldn’t figure out one of the hard parts project.

Not sure why the L77 was picked either.  Out of a cop car, it probably had a zillion hard miles on it and he got it cheap.  LS3 or L92 would have made a lot more sense if going with a GM

Let’s be real clear.  GT7 is NOT a sim.  It is a video game, period.

LOL, she wishes she got fired from the NYT. She was fired by the NTY.  She worked for Wirecutter, who was acquired by NYT. She got fired for leaving inappropriate voice mails while name dropping NTY like she actually worked there...which is why she is back at Jalopnik after leaving here to work there. Didn’t even last

Except $4.11 in 2008 is $5.25 in today’s money...

At least he didn’t mandate it also had to be Union made.

Yawn - I’ll just watch it when it hits a streaming service.  No reason to go to the theater if you have a good home setup.

Ignore the nuclear side - Russia also has a FAR strong military than anything in the middle east, along with China as an ally. Most of the world would like to avoid WWIII.

Boy do I know that - I was daily driving an ‘02 Avalanche at the time a good 20k miles a year. I came very close to buying a small 4-banger, as even a $200/month payment (probably could have leased a new one) + insurance/upkeep/gas would have been cheaper than gas alone in my Avalanche.

I’m glad I didn’t as prices

The record high for a national average is $4.11, which was set on July 17, 2008. That record could soon fall.
