The Corvair was the first production turbocharged car ever sold (some argue that the Old Jetfire was, and is is still a debate today, but it appears the Corvair was actually sold a couple weeks before the Jetfire).  Interesting that such an odd-duck of a car became the car to launch the turbo era.

It is THE Ohio State University.  Just like it is Ukraine.  Deal with it.

This one is on the higher end of the price scale for these at this mileage, but the condition also reflects that price, as a lot of them are pretty beat up - when you can find them at all, as the pickings are slim.

They are a cool performance SUV that have loads of potential and can tow 6600lbs. We have one nearby that

It’s said to be “bone stock” save for a cold air intake. That’s probably just a half-hour’s work to remove and toss in the trash.

31 is an awfully small sample size to determine anything.

Doesn’t matter. The number should still be looming over them whether they ever pay any of it or not (with a legit job, at least some garnishment would likely happen). It’s the principle of a proper settlement.

More importantly is a much longer jail sentence.

That restitution is missing a 1 in front of it at minimum - or really a 0 at the end based on the injuries.

The sentence should have been 5x as long as well.  This ahole will be out on parole in under a year I bet.

It costs me $0 to winterize. Drain some water, done.

I keep the boat in my garage, where it fit fine. If your buddy built a house and the boat doesn’t fit, he built the wrong garage. Trailer to from the lake (a full 4 minute drive), so no dock fees or waterfront property (yet).

Fuel for me isn’t in the hundreds but

Says the guy who has never owned one but “heard” how expensive they are.  Not in my experience.  They are as expensive to maintain as most typical enthusiast vehicles.  More than a Honda Civic, but nothing that outrageous.  This is excluding boats you can live on or reasonably overnight with, as then you are mixing a

It’s all BS. Will prices be high for the next 1-3 years? Absolutely.

Yup, have a Malibu. Even the newer stuff, if you do some research, isn’t bad at all. Screens will cost more to replace, but they aren’t that hard to deal with. Engines are just GM LS/LT stuff (or the loud and large 6.2 Fords).

Cruisers are a whole other ballgame.  That’s a house and a car built into one and should not

Again, I’ve owned a boat for 22 years straight. Please list all of these “ridiculous expense constantly” because I’m magically not seeing them. You know, not seeing them as a long term boat owner, not someone who hears an acronym and assumes boats all cost a fortune to own.

Even my first boat, which was a straight out

Are you drunk posting?

And I won’t pay for any of them. Same as I don’t pay for any of the services in my GMC truck now. Wireless Android Auto and I’m good to go.

What will eventually happen is these companies will go overboard, start killing off essential things in cars without a service plan, and people will start doing software hacks to

People do forget that. I see tons of people on forums paying dealers several hundred dollars to winterize their boats - something that can be done in their driveway with minimal tools and time for free. Then they pay $300 for a $40 oil change, and things escalate from there.

Too many people are afraid of a wrench.

Maybe you should buy better “broats”

2009 is a B8, not a B7.  No such thing as a 2009 RS4 and no B8 RS4 was sold in the US either.

the company also cheapened out on the chain guides giving the engine a notorious, and notoriously expensive to fix failure point.

Let me guess - you have never owned a boat. I have for the past 22 years. I wouldn’t even list my last boat for sale until my current boat was in the garage. If prices ever get semi-sane again for wakeboats (unlikely), I’ll buy a newer version of mine then sell my current one. |

I ditched Spotify myself recently, not because of Rogan but rather because Apple randomly offered me six free months of Apple Music.
