Cool looking vaporware, but what am I going to do with it?
Tow? Nope - awful tow rig. Off Road - why not just buy a Jeep? Haul people - hardly. Go fast...again, nope. It looks cool enough for a truck but doesn’t do anything well. Trucks are supposed to be useful in some manner and this one isn’t.
This is an E92 (as was mine), which tend to be the most valuable of the series (E90 being the least). E91's are the most valuable at their option level but never offered with a turbo motor or V8. Being a manual is a price premium as well - funny how the auto was an cost option when new that devalued the car.
5 series,…
Curious as to what the insurance will pay out compared to the MSRP. These are typically selling for 20k over. I bet he has to fight with them on valuation.
My C6Z allows for quite a bit of silliness with the traction control fully enabled. I can’t think of a time on the street I would ever want it off (unlike some cars where traction control just ruins the fun).
Half that? I sold mine for $8500 in February with almost 60k more miles and was an ‘07. You might need to adjust what you think the market is for these cars.
E9x only got the SMG in the M3. This was just a torque converter auto. The 335is did get the dual-clutch, but that’s a much better transmission than the SMG.
So I sold my E92 N54 this past February. ‘07, 6MT car with Nav like this. Mine was the more desirable Alpine white with the less desirable Dakota Gray interior. 161k on the clock, in a condition that is at least as good as this car is in. Mine did have a bit of wastegate rattle - though I bet this one does too.
Unlike…
Where do you suppose they will get these Corvettes? It takes around a year to get one you ordered. Anything on a lot is going to have a 20-30k markup now. We are entering the 2022 model year and GM still isn’t close to keeping up with demand.
I agree with it being struck down due to the 7/8th BS.
But these are non-employee, gig workers. Period. They are employees as soon as they accept being told when to drive and what areas they need to be in. Until that time, they are independent contractors.
I still don’t appreciate it. The original isn’t a reliable as Honda/Acura Fanboi’s make it out to be. It was underpowered. Not a bad car but nothing I’d ever lust over.
I like the new one more, but it is overpriced for what it is. I see them regularly as they are made about a 1/2 hour from me and have been seeing them…
Looking at that neighborhood, he is lucky he didn’t get mugged after the accident.
Totally the truck’s fault and that guy had no good reason to be racing through that street. Someone driving like a total dumbass, nothing more.
What are you buying for 10k that has a warranty (factory or CPO...not some aftermarket BS)? A fairly base model econo car...maybe. I’m not saying I would pay 10k for this - or any money as this isn’t my type of vehicle at all - but you aren’t scoring anything worth owning at that price with a real warranty.
That’s not true at all. You can easily see swirl marks caused by these modern touch car washes on modern paints. Grit in the brushes doesn’t just disappear and it will mar the clearcoat. Some of us actually care about the finish on our vehicles...
This thing is like owning a Model T or the like. Relatively useless for anything today, can’t take on anything but slow surface streets, and is basically a novelty/show vehicle.
For the condition and how rare it is to see one, this seems like a pretty fair price. I have 0% interest in ever owning one, and I’m sure…
Double the power output and it might be worth talking about. That those power levels - full on yawn.
Also married to a Canadian (a Newfie at that). She already lived here on a work Visa when we met, and got her Green Card a month before we married (she is now a US Citizen).
Not everything at these stores are a bad deal.
I needed spray bottles for some chemical mixes - couldn’t find cheaper elsewhere and the ones at the Dollar Tree are pretty decent (especially for $1). They sell some good cleaners there for GREAT prices - far cheaper per ounce than anywhere else. Need a card for a…
Owners of older Bolts must be rejoicing. If they made it that long, then the battery is likely fine. They can comfortably be last in line for a replacement, and come out with a fresh battery with an 8-year warranty, which sure will help with resale.
Got it - you use some magical brush car wash that doesn’t mar paint like every other car wash. The employees go out between washings and clean all the grit from the brushes before the next vehicle goes through.
