This - or more properly said, GM’s GEN-III through GEN-V small blocks. I own each generation:
- LS1 in my boat (factory option on it)
- LS7 in my C6Z, making 590RWHP on ported factory heads, unported MSD intake, cam, and long tubes...I’m leaving a lot of HP on the table (an easy 30 more just doing a bigger throttle body

How can they think they are “taking on” Ferrari or Lamborghini. Other than rare one-off type of models, neither company sells cars in that price range. They are taking on what those companies don’t even sell.

This is just another hypercar startup that may/may not produce a car and will likely not do much afterwards.

I will be flying Spirit in mid-September. Had to cancel a flight last Thanksgiving, and needed to use my flight credit up before the end of the year. Wife, daughter, and I are flying to Mexico in mid-Sept.

2 weeks ago, they decided to reschedule both of my flights (direct flights). Going to Mexico, I went from a direct

Just sold my project car on FB Marketplace. ‘94 Firebird Formula 6MT. I owned it since ‘99, but it has sat since late ‘05 after popping a head gasket and me deciding I wanted to go a whole other direction with it.

Wife, major house upgrade, kid, major boat upgrade, other projects and I lost interest. Sitting was rough

As another person who tows a boat, I can’t think how this would be helpful to me...at all.

It won’t be, sadly.  We need developments in battery technology before towing ranges become anywhere close to acceptable.  Then we need charging infrastructure to support it.  I’d venture to say we are a good 10+ years away from that.

The whole “lowering prices hurts EV sales” only applies when we have a reasonable selection of EV’s to even chose from.  We aren’t even close.

But your narrative doesn’t fit the “my party is great, your party is garbage” mindset most of the US has now.

Here is a hint everyone - the Republican and Democratic parties are both corrupt garbage.  Until we get out of the two-party system, nothing is going to change.

I keep reading here how hardtop convertibles are basically dead, yet the C8 was just recently released as a hardtop convertible for the first time and GM can’t make enough of them, commanding 20-30k over MSRP used or new (though I’d still buy the targa top).

Still do, and on the 1/2 ton truck lineup and Yukon.  Fronts only, $3000 option.  I’ve never seen one actually equipped with them though.

What makes you think Elon knew anything about this incident.  A supervisor is many layers below him and would have likely been filtered out well before it got to him (or any C-Suite executive in a large corporation).  I’m sure he knows about it well after the fact, after it escalated, but to blame him for not firing

First off, it is far more than my own experience. My wife’s experience, and most of my friends and family.

228HP.  All you need to know - another yawn fest for a “performance” car.  We have three vehicles in our fleet - a sports sedan, truck, and a sports car.  This is over 100HP lower than the lowest HP of the three; it’s 2022 model time - there is no excuse for such lower power in a performance car.

“Poverty Spec”

I think everyone can agree, assuming the story is accurate, that Martinez is a POS, shouldn’t have his job, etc.

But Dart on worker’s comp for panic attacks over this? If this situation, especially after removing himself from it, is causing this kind of physical reaction, maybe he isn’t meant for this line of work any

I’ve flown on a number of planes with these screens, the the large majority being Air Canada (whose screens are some of the hardest to deal with). Never had an issue with the person behind me moving the screen in a way that caused me any discomfort or to even take notice.

Now that damn tray table...

I said “UAW” not “all unions” so your data is irrelevant.

Not taking a loss in today’s market.  Bought mine over 10 years ago and could sell for well more than I paid.  Maintenance and repair costs haven’t been bad either.

I launch my wakeboat every weekend (will be again in a few hours). Back it in, get out, unlock the winch so the boat can float back and unbuckle the strap. Though it can be doable in the boat, it is a pain and not something I’d want my wife doing. Once the boat is free, she backs it off the trailer.

Put truck in park

Show me a 150k ski boat.  Actual ski boat, NOT a wake boat (which gets well beyond that).  I’m talking a true, direct drive inboard ski boat, not some stupid runabout idiots like to call ski boats.
