VAG in this time period = auto CP.
FWD = CP.
Does anything else really need to be stated?

You can try selling me on that 8-speed auto all you want...it still isn’t a DCT. Comparing it to the 8 year old DCT in my wife’s S4 (comparable price points new), it is slower and I can just hear the effect of the torque converter in your video.
Does it sound quick for an auto? Absolutely. Still isn’t a substitute…
I did, perhaps many of the other commenters should do a better job of it. He stated “got the hell beaten out of them in an effort to organize and develop modern collective bargaining.” Modern collective bargaining has everything to do with Unions, which I’m not a part of.
Now the rest was a discussion on thanking…
Bought one a couple years ago when I had to do a thermostat in the wife’s B8.5 S4. Only way to get air out of the supercharged 3.0. An added benefit - it discovered the water pump was ready to start leaking as well, so I got to replace that too (and the B8.5 was supposed to be the ones with the good water pump...oh…
My truck is an automatic because towing a boat out of a ramp with a manual sucks, no one sells manual trucks (or any worth buying at least), and it just makes sense.
My last daily, a 335 BMW, was a stick. Wife tried to learn and it could have went better. She has a DCT in her car at least, but will never have a manual.…
Funny - I have 401k matching, paid holidays, paid vacation, health benefits and do NOT work for a union. Never have. I wouldn’t be where I am today if I was a union worker, as seniority is taken over hard work, hustling, or performing beyond your peers.
Everyone keeps harping on these easily-reversible modifications as a reason the price is too high.
It comes with stock wheels. Swap them out - will likely get 2-3k selling the aftermarket ones. Brings your investment to 32-33k. Removing underbody LED’s is easy, as is getting rid of the CAI if it is a POS. The wrap can…
This won’t work well for a volume manufacturer.
So many people lease (many not for the right reasons, but whatever), and that typically necessitates needing a car right away. Then you have the group of buyers that NEED a new car now due to an issue with theirs. A lot of dealers get sales from someone in the service…
Not really a NP when you can get a E46 M3 for similar money.
You can find an E46 M3 manual coupe for that kind of money...and the E46 is a vastly superior car.
Companies will just put more employees on salary vs hourly.
“Every car I’ve ever had I’ve had negative equity,” Mr. Simmons said.
I use BlueDriver. Bluetooth to your phone, $100, and will talk to a lot of different modules on quite a few platforms. Paid for itself on my previous truck when I had an ABS light. If I was throwing parts at the problem, I would have done new wheel speed sensors just to find out it was a bad connector I had to repair…
I am looking forward to this coming out. As long as I can still get stupid money for my ‘18 Sierra, a ‘22 loaded Sierra AT4 is in my future.
This plus a good managed DNS server to blacklist a lot of BS from either coming through. I run a Pi-hole server.
Corvette. Much faster, better handling, and will make it more than 5k miles without a major service need. And more valuable...my 4 year newer Corvette, with a few more miles, is worth almost 3x what this car costs, so it is very safe to say the market has spoken. I also bet mine gets a shit ton more compliments…
228HP. Still a snooze fest. Of our three vehicles, our lowest HP one (wife’s daily driver sedan) has over 100HP more than this supposed “fun” car.
You can have plenty of fun with bonkers tires. Running PS4S on my car and 0.0 issues getting the rear end out (to a scary degree) on 325 width tires.
PDF manuals work fine for me. Open in Adobe, search for what I need, done. What I don’t want to do is deal with another app.
I can do without a paper manual.
It’s not like the other two are pristine examples of their respective breeds either...
