All bad suggestions. Someone straight out of college with reliable transportation shouldn’t be buying ANYTHING. How about paying down those college loans and investing into tax deferred retirement funds.

When I had my ‘07 Escalade EXT, I got a recall notice for the airbag but they didn’t have any in stock to do the swap. I sold the truck two years ago and got the notice probably 3 years ago. Curious as to how that changed since then.
Further, you should be maxing out your 401k as soon as possible. $19,500/year (before catch-up if you are in that age bracket). I do that yearly.
Also, if you can be in a high deductible health plan, you can invest 6k/year pre-tax in that too, and invest it as well. I max that out as well; it is actually a smarter…
I just don’t get the Jeep thing. If I want to go off-roading, I’ll take my quad. If I want the family along, I’ll buy a side-by-side. Jeep just doesn’t make much sense to me, unless it is a stupidly modified rock crawler or something to that effect where it has been turned into a machine dedicated for the job.
I think there is something wrong with today’s post. It is showing up under latest, but NOT under Nice Price
My wife is a petite 5'2". After being together 14 years, she has had to daily drive (when her cars were down for repair) my ‘02 Avalanche, ‘07 Escalade EXT, and my ‘18 Sierra SLT CC. All full size trucks.
Sorry, but last week’s CP F150 is far more usable as a truck than this thing.
This VW can only tightly haul three people (in an unsafe manner). 89HP + questionable frame = you can’t trust it to tow anything. The bed may be big, but you better only be hauling lighter things in it.
My previous truck, a 2nd Gen Escalade EXT, had 26" wheels on it from the previous owner. Luckily, they had only been on a short time, it came with the factory 22", and the 26" wheels were the least ghetto you can get for 26" wheels (still not good).
Folks are paying bigger than they should dollars for M3's. Hell, I’m about to sell my E92 335i for just a couple grand less than this, and it has more miles (and isn’t an M3).
This article is not quite an accurate representation of the program. A quick look at the FAQ shows that you may cancel after 4 months (except Illinois, which is 12). It is just a 24 month lease that has a maintenance program built-in.
Not an “S” so automatic CP.
Does the car have the LN Bearing replacement or LN Solution? If not the more expensive Solution, you still need to replace the bearing at specific intervals...and depending on when it was done, that bearing may be due. A lot of people think that if it has an LN bearing it is good to go - that’s not the case at all. It…
Silverado guy overpaid for a poverty spec truck, likely paying 46-48k on it from his description. I paid 44k for my new ‘18 Sierra SLT and it is as close to a Denali Ultimate as you can get without being a Denali Ultimate. Now he wants out because he overpaid for a truck and has negative equity in it and is paying an…
It’s not that hard. Know some electrical basics, lookup the codes and wiring diagrams for additional comfort in what you are doing, and use common sense.
Further, if renting and taking others, they can chip in for the rental costs as well, further reducing the cost of renting...
Then this really goes back to, what’s the point in moving to this material? It doesn’t sound like it will be cheaper to produce. It doesn’t sound like it will be easier to recycle, so not more environmentally friendly. Lastly, it is significantly heavier than the material it is meant to replace without being any…
Great article. I have wanted one of these for years, but values never seem to drop after the initial depreciation hit (unless it is an SRA car, but those can’t be converted to street use, which would be my purpose).
Back seat = no twin turbo. That’s too bad.
As someone with a B8.5 S4 in the garage, I fully approve of this swap.
Easy CP. Same car with 30k more miles at a dealer for $6,300.
