My first car was an ‘84 Renault Alliance I purchased in ‘95. It was Motor Trend’s 1983 car of the year. First off, Motor Trend had to have had been paid off (with a lot of money), as these cars were utter garbage. I remember “racing” a friend with his base model 80's something Ford Escort (the really crappy ones) and

Why is everyone digging on what this guy is paying on the Miata. It appears he has a $24,000, 5 year loan, and likely overpaid on it or has less than 3 years on it. If you look at 2017 Miata’s (to be 2 years newer then when he bought his), if you put $0 down, that’s right where these are going for with tax wrapped in.

Once put into mass production - easily.  Further, the Ubers and Lyfts of the world will no longer have to contend with states and local gov’t claiming the drivers are employees and not contractors.

No. They are stupid and embarrassing; I am certain I would walk right by shaking my head. You can spend years perfecting a shit sandwich and making it the most creative and detailed sandwich ever made - it is still a shit sandwich.

Is it really fair to lump the E90 and E91 with the E92/E93? They share almost no body panels. This one also has the base headlights which look like hell (and the E90/E91 headlights don’t look as good as the E92/E93). The awful wheels only make the look worse.

Too slow. The N52 may not have some of the problems of the N54 (wastegate rattle mainly, high pressure fuel pump and injectors), it has all of the others plus a couple of its own.  So you get a motor of similar reliability that makes significantly less power.  E91 only came in NA form in the US, so unless someone did

Rob - there are no turbo’s on that thing.  The “M54" you are referring to is the “N54" which was never sold on an E91 in the US.  This thing has the normally aspirated N52 in it, which has its own set of issues...

This.   That POS has never, and never will be, cool.  CP at any price.

This - but let them buy these premium, well optioned vehicles.  Makes it easier to find what I want in the used market at sane prices...

How do we stop the silent calls?  I’d say half of these telemarketing / scam calls I get never say a thing.  I pick up to silence and it remains that way until their end disconnects.

I listened to an NPR segment a couple weeks ago about this.

Not the seller, nor do I know anything about this car. Light mods don’t add value...typically. A very heavily done car, sold to the right market (read, not typically Craigslist, Autotrader, etc.) can go for significantly more money than a stock example.

Not every car is a commuter car.  Some of us have multiple cars, and one (or more) of them are toys.

Seeing the comments and current voting, no one has looked up what even a stock CTS-V Coupe sells for.  Hint - they ain’t cheap.  This car has a ton of extra money into it as well and doesn’t look like someone’s project.  NP.

Bring a Trailer (full of cash) seems to be the litmus test of top pricing for a car.  The price on this one is asking what they go for on BaT = too expensive.  CP.

Incorrect.  Z06 and ZR1 had fixed roofs in the C6.

Those are cheap and easy to update. That is not a reason to avoid a older BMW.

Do people not do ANY research before voting NP vs CP?  Nicer examples have sold for similar and less money with way less miles on BaT.  If that’s what they go for on Bring a Trailer Full of Cash, they sure as well worth way less on some CL ad.

Jo Jorgensen.  But then you can’t be one of those lemmings that only vote between two parties.  Are you a lemming?

Let’s not forget the claim that “pushrods are old tech.”  Yet the first DOHC production engine came out in 1926.  Talk about recent, cutting edge technology!
