Most households have more than one vehicle, especially those that can afford an electric car.  Wife has electric, husband has a gas vehicle for long trips...pretty common.

Right - because no one takes long trips. There are several trips a year I take where an electric would take WAY longer than a gasoline vehicle due to recharge vs refuel times.

That’s not counting when I tow my boat. Even the Cybertruck will be useless, as the range will be garbage towing and charging while towing

I think that answer also depends on the lease rate.  If the buyer (stupidly) put money down, and they let him continue at the same rate deflated rate, it might make financial sense.  If not, he could be paying over what the depreciation is for the vehicle.

My mother keeps leasing base model Civics every three years. Her current one is identical to the last one she had.

Of course she never comes to me to help her negotiate a better deal, so he gets raked over the coals, and never listens when I say if you want to lease, a Honda Civic isn’t a good car to lease.  Ugh.

Can we just ban all of the lake lice. Nothing but an annoyance and safety hazard to anyone trying to do water sports behind real boats.

This whole name change is CP.

The place looks legitimately good now.”

A ton of people listen to Stern. There are regular news articles published regarding whomever he is interviewing that week. His Sirius contract is about up and Spotify is doing a major play for his as well, but Sirius has publicly said they want to keep him and keep him happy.

I wouldn't gamble $10,000 on one of his cars, let alone 40k (a price point he probably won't hit).  Talented guy working outside of his abilities on the money of others.

For a fun enough DD, the Model 3 makes a lot of sense if one insists on buying new. At 40k/year, that’s a good $10,000 in fuel savings. So that turns a 40k Tesla into an equivalent 30k purchase, ignoring any of the other maintenance savings.  Add in that they have pretty low depreciation compared to many other cars,

Why isn’t anyone focusing on leasing and extreme loan terms as the biggest cause of this problem?

Way too many people are afraid of a calculator and only think about the payment (I would say the majority of buyers are like this). So as long as that payment is low enough they will keep paying and paying and paying until

The selection of hatches and wagons in the US worth buying are next to nothing, and have been the last 20 years. CTS-V, cool. R32 Golf...not for my money. Actually, most are slow and relatively boring. Hell, if you put the top 10 accelerating and handling wagons/hatches sold in the US vs. the top 10

Hey, how about we STOP this extra unemployment benefit BS. The country is under tremendous debt. I’m sick of paying to bail out others.

I am responsible enough to have savings in case things happen. I grew up fairly low income, bought all my own vehicles and paid my way through college, yet I still had savings even in

This is why I got my Sierra new. With the incentives I found in 2018, flying two states over to the cheapest dealer in the country and driving it back 6 hours, Costco discount, etc. got me a truck for $17,000 off of MSRP. Or I could have bought a 3 year old, 36,000 mile truck for about 5k less (that was hard to find

Crack Pipe is NOT racist. It is racist to say blacks smoke more crack than any other race unless you have solid proof to back it up. Crack is a drug problem that spans any race, meaning it isn’t racist.

As for offending the “suffering” crack users, to bad.  They were not forced to smoke crack, just like none of us are

You all voted it down in a 58% Goodbye loss” is incorrect. We voted a Crack Pipe loss; Goodbye didn’t come until today’s poll. Which appears to be causing confusion based on the percentage of “Good Buy” results on a very obvious badge engineering job by the owner and excessive price for what it actually is.

Let’s stop

Stop with the changes.

Yet illegals cross US borders (especially from the south) 100's of times the quantity listed in this article daily. Care to discuss that far larger issue while you are at it?

While what these yacht owners have done (who you obviously despise for having money) is wrong, the influx of illegals coming into the US is a

Waste of resources; I just run a Pi Hole DNS server which covers everything in my home and can block URL’s globally to where they don’t even have to be blocked as they can’t even resolve the domain name to try to come through...
