Lol, no. I have my LeMons car and my Dakota R/T as well for the time being and a Gen 2 GTS is next on my radar. You’re more than welcome to hate on the Neon, but it’s at 235k now and still running great. With the coilovers, NT01s, etc, hiding under the shitty paint, it will still run off and leave a lot of stuff up on

It was cheaper than you’d think. Building was about $11k and the slab and grading was about $7k, so by the time we did the inside ourselves and got the wiring done, I’m in it less than $25k:

My Bendpak 2-post was the best $3k I’ve ever spent!

I routinely buy car stuff from Amazon already. Just bought a five quart jug of Mobil 1 (12 dollars cheaper than advance) and a oil filter (two dollar cheaper) and it’ll be here by Friday without having to go anywhere to get it. I also use Rock Auto a bunch and will usually use RA to get part numbers and cross shop

You mean the 8-speed ZF trans used by just about everyone else too?

There’s still a ton of them out there, just less of the early ones before they got the MLS head gasket...

I daily a ‘99 R/T Coupe with almost 230k on it lol...

Yep, 131HP for the SOHC cars. For comparison, the Civic topped out in Si form at 125HP for the 1995 model year when the Neon was released. Sixth Gen Civics topped out at 127 until ‘98 when the Si showed up with 160HP, though torque was still down compared to the Neon DOHC cars with 111 vs 133.

DOHC cars were actually 150hp.

Future LeMons car, plan on finishing up the body stuff when I’m off in a couple weeks lol... Key word there is “plan”.

GSX were the turbo AWD ones, GS-T were the turbo FWD cars.

They’re not all bad...

Incorrect, it’s still gorgeous.

Because your anecdotal evidence is more reliable than my anecdotal evidence? The later engines don’t have any more issues with headgaskets than anyone elses, if you overheat anything there’s a good chance you can mess things up. I’m at almost 225k on my ‘99 with no drivetrain problems whatsoever. Coupe window tracks,

Only one the early cars, the later ones with the MLS headgaskets don’t give any problems.

Everyone hates on them, but I love mine. BC coilovers, polybushings everywhere the make one that’ll fit, ST rear bar, and some NT01s on a set of really light Rotas make for a hell of a lot of fun on The Dragon and it’s still knocking down mid 30s for mileage with 225k on it and never gives any problems.

You clearly have never had to do any sort of work on a second gen V6 Tiburon. Fuck those cars.

This. Guarantee it would have came off with my AirCat, 3/4" lines, and 80 gallon IR two-stage lol...

Don’t hate, appreciate!
