About damn time. I live about 15 minutes from The Dragon in Robbinsville, NC and about 1 out of every four times I go up there so dude in a big rig has the trailer most of the way off the mountain.

It never had German underpinnings. Some of the rear suspension geometry was the same, but no hard parts other than a steering column and some switchgear, etc.
+1! '98 Dakota R/T and '99 Neon R/T, plus the future LeMons car is a Mitsu so that kinda counts...
The top car is not a Stratus, it is an Intrepid. The Charger did replace the Intrepid.
They've stopped "wanting that to be a thing"; SRT was folded into Dodge.
Formerly when SRT was treated as it's own division like Dodge, Jeep, etc., the vehicles under the SRT banner had to support the extra administrative costs of the division. With SRT being folded back into Dodge now, there was a lot of overhead that went away at the same time.
The Pentastar isn't direct injection.
+1 for the Dart SRT, Alfas, and Miata twins!
I'm aware, never said you could. Just that they made them in both standard and reverse rotations, there's nothing about a 4-stroke that says the crank can't rotate counter-clockwise; the camshaft design among other things prevents that from working out correctly.
They also made/make marine engines in both standard and reverse rotation from all of the big 3:
Reader TrinTDI wondered if an engine can run in reverse since the primary rotation of the starter motor is backwards. A two stroke engine can, but not a four stroke. So if you've got an old Trabant, go try it at home!
The road was really, REALLY rough that first year when that video was taken. They've since paved over the worst of the spots.
Woohoo! Vipers take home the top two spots in GTLM (and the lead in points) as well as the win in GTD and two Challengers take home first and second at Lime Rock in the Trans Am race!
No problem!
Pretty sure you need at least a bolt in bar and harnesses for the classes that run the hillclimb. You can e-mail the guys in charge via the info address at the link below or by posting on the forums:
Also, here's the record run in a Porsche GT3 Cup car:

Since the road has guardrails more or less all the way up, they will let those without the traditional hill climb license requirements run. All you have to do is join the SCCA, sign up for the event, and then attend a novice driver's meeting the Friday night prior to the event. Once you compete in, if I recall…
