There are more slides later, that was a poor choice to choose that one over the later ones...

If we're getting technical, he didn't specify Dodge Ram or Ram 1500/2500/3500 and the newer Rams were still VIN'd and titled as Dodges until the beginning of the 2012 model year.

This. So much of this.

"Besides that, since when is there a half-ton Ram with a 5.9-lier V8? Since never, there isn't one."

Everything sucked back then. Other than the afore mentioned head gasket issue, they don't really have any more issues than anything else made in the mid-late 90s.

Three years (95-97), and other than the head gasket issue which was the bean counters' fault, they were really competitive or better in terms of performance, handling, economy, etc. for the time.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions...

They switched to a MLS gasket in '98 (interestingly enough, it was the same gasket they were going to originally use before the bean counters killed it), it's at 181k and zero problems.

I've got one. A '99 R/T on coilovers and with poly bushings all the way around and a few other mods. Terrifically fun little car that cost practically nothing and gets 40+ MPG highway.

Some people over here refer to Sport Utility Vehicles as "Utes" as well.

The hell are you talking about? The GC is RWD based and the drivetrain is mounted as such.

They're inlets for the rear brake ducts...

Mine too!

Rear end is limited slip with 3.55s. I put slightly taller tires on it to bring the highway RPM down a little (265/70R17s versus 235/70s). Haven't had a problem with the clutch slipping and I live in the mountains of Western North Carolina. I do have do downshift to 3rd going over the mountain between myself in

I've got an '08 V6 5-speed Manual F-150. It tows way better than my '02 SuperCrew FX4 with the 5.4L.

Until you try to tow something with the Ecoboost and your mileage plummets quickly...

If by give you mean take, then sure.
