Gotta disagree with you. The uber-classic Steve Gerber 70s run happened well after both Namor and the Silver Surfer left the series. The classic core of the Defenders, to me, will always be Strange, Hulk, Hellcat, Nighthawk and Valkyrie, with other characters coming and going as circumstances dictate.
