That’s likely a strategic decision. It is generally wise to avoid talking about specific solutions to a problem before people believe there is a problem. And right now, pretty much half the country believe that the system is working, or, at least working the same for everyone.

This article needs more pictures. I’d like to see the different varieties.

Far more likely that it was done for free cause somebody likes hockey.

?

You forgot to mention how not understanding levels - seeing the world in black and white - is stupid, insane, and the defining trait of close minded, bigoted, fanatics. Still, good response :)

Mainly because he didn’t fuck up and you are on a site that exists only to manufacture outrage? And the title is clickbait?

It’s only the same chain, not the same actual store. The 37k should be lowered.

Those interesting galaxies with a mid-infrared signature larger than expected will receive more study, but the result at this point seems stark. None of the galaxies studied show signs of civilizations that are reprocessing 85 percent or more of their starlight into the mid-infrared.

Which isn’t that unreasonable an assumption. Evolution works everywhere. The strategies that work for life here will work elsewhere. Any alien life is still going to consist of plants, herbivores carnivores, predators, prey, etc.

Yeah, but that doesn’t change the fact that Kickstarter is more like a store than it is like anything else.

I think the whole point is the no one knows what kickstarter is. But its far more like Amazon than it is like anything else.

Kickstarter isn’t investing. How long before this gets through your thick stupid head?

Yeah but kickstarter isn’t for investment. It most certainly doesn’t have HIGH reward. Kickstarter is more like placing a pre-order than it is like investing in something.

But kickstarter is more like a pre-order than an investment.

LOL. Who decides what major is? After you’ve decided a major amount of time has been wasted, how much do you put on the clock? “Most” games finish with 5 min? Hell, the refs litterally just decide whether or not to end the game in stoppage time. Big scramble and your team has a chance to score? That 5 min becomes 5:30.

You gloss over, in one paragraph, the true horror of the Brave New World society. Think about being engineered, prior to your birth, with intellectual, physical and emotional limits that compel you to “conform” to your “ultimate station in life.”

What I find fascinating about Gattaca is that while it is a very well done movie, when you stop to think about it, it is absolutely stupid.

I’ll concede to a lot of your points, but glossing over the class system that doom people to hard labour for life while making sure that they don’t rise above their station with any means necessary is disingenious at best, especially at a time when inequality in increasing all over the world.

Hmmm. A Tyranny without tyranny. What does that even mean? Is it still undesirable?

Well who’s fault is it then? There aren’t enough jobs cause they are all over seas. Is it the fault of the 74 year old computer tech who voted for the people who presided over the outsourcing, so that he could buy cheap shit from Wal-Mart? Or, is it the millennial fault for not having been born when the jobs went
