As disappointed as I am, I don’t feel like they screwed up the ending so much as they half-assed it. It all makes sense, it’s just very boring at this point.

I can see how someone would find the Borderlands series to be obnoxious- the sense of humor can fall flat, the over-the-top exuberance can be wearying and it’s core gameplay loop is a loot treadmill just like the action RPGs and MMOs that in part inspired it.

Personally, I’ve never understood the “it needs to be different” mentality— when talking about another game in a series— the reason there’s a sequel is because people liked the original.

There’s pretty much no paradox going on.

...they explained that in the film. There’s basically no continuity between the past scenes and the 2023 scenes.

People are missing one big thing when talking about time travel in this movie. The big rule is that the past cannot be changed. When you go back in time and change something, it creates an alternate future/reality. However, you return to the future you came from and that change was not made.

I’m about to leave for a month of travel in Africa, and since I want to actually be able to use the internet while I’m there, I hauled my ass to an 8 am showing this morning. Maybe it’s just the endorphins, but I really enjoyed it. Some random thoughts:
