I know you’re trying to do good here, but honestly, you sound like the one that’s more interested in just turning a blind eye.

Thanks for the info, and good luck with this mission!
I’m pulling this out of my ass, but I’m assuming it’s the direction they’re being launched, considering that east of Vandenberg AFB is Los Angeles, while east of Cape Canaveral is the Atlantic Ocean. I don’t think they launch rockets over population centers.
Does anyone happen to know the rough probability that the launch will occur on this weekend (and not a month from now)? I have no idea what conditions govern whether or not a launch is scrubbed.
It’s because Japanese uses a syllabary instead of an alphabet—the only character they have that lacks a vowel is “n”. In other words, there’s no “k”, only “ka”, “ki,” “ku”, “ke” and “ko”. I think the writer took it for granted that you might know that already and therefore didn’t consider it to be unusual.
No really, how?
It is definitely a curse to know the subtitled language, sometimes—especially if you have pedantic tendencies. That said, I acknowledge that translations are inherently difficult. They’re hard enough to be accurate and to match tone without the added constraints of timing/pacing and matching/adapting verbal styles.…
I prefer movies in their original audio tracks (and therefore subtitles for foreign films), but I know a few people that are simply incapable of reading subtitles fast enough to keep up. They actually have to sound out words to read them, and by that time they’ve lost all focus on the visuals or lost their place in…
So you’re admitting to having potential for cold-blooded murder? How neat of you to do so on a public website. *HEY FBI, HERE’S SOMEONE YOU MIGHT WANT TO KEEP AN EYE ON.*
Did you and I watch the same video? Your comment is so tone-deaf it’s hilarious.
While we’re quoting ancient texts:
Lest we make hasty generalizations, I’m pretty sure two crazy fuckers aren’t representative of 1.6 billion people worldwide any more than some tweaker couple that throw their babies into garbage cans are representative of all Christians.
I think you’re probably an edge case. No judgment, but interpreting a light touch to the forearm as violence is not normal. If it was, I’m sure that we humans would not have lasted very long.
Also, the NRA is not promoting gun violence any more than the ACLU is promoting hate speech. Both are staunch supporters of a constitutional amendment that can be abused by people.
Yeah it kinda says something about our society that people are more shocked and horrified about a repugnant action than a murderous one. Out of all these comments, I think I only spotted one other person that mentioned this. People just have no sense of reality anymore.
I’m absolutely certain that she could make plenty of money around the world by satisfying people’s curiosities about what it was like to be married to and live with Donald Trump. People are generally curious about what Hell is like.
Hi there, I’m genuinely curious about your initial comment: what song is similar to “Creep” and Lana del Rey’s “Get Free”? I enjoy thinking about this kind of stuff, so would honestly like to hear your take.
Not that I’m judging, but based on what he wrote I would assume that PlaystoomuchHALO is a white guy, and from his perspective I’m sure non-white folks are swarming all over Seattle. I’m not white, and I’ve been to Seattle a few times—it’s not diverse, at least not compared to other big cities. I like it though—just…
I haven’t tried a whole lot of expensive headphones myself, but I have to say—my first headphone splurge was when I was in college (10+ years ago), and those cans are still my go-to method of listening to music when I really want to enjoy the experience. It’s like night and day versus any other speaker/headphone that…
