usually if you want your child to be bilingual you have to speak or read to them in both languages frequently from a young age. Here in the Philippines most middle-class and above citizens can speak fluent english and tagalog.

@Kaka Kittens: I had a similar problem when I was using really cheap HDMI cables. Switched them out and it was just fine. I recommend you use HDMI or a better DVI adapter if possible.
