IMO, with the iTunes Match/iCloud addition, Apple had a chance to revive Ping with a subscription based plan, including sharing playlists a la Rdio, but the train has long left…

I've never been on those forums, but I've seen FAR too many examples where someone would ask a simple question, and a flock of Android users would jump saying that the person is an idiot and that it's his/her fault. The same reason why people pay for Photoshop instead of using Gimp. This "text editor" is part of a web developers tool belt. Not something that you write your resume with.
