A lot of the comments section is pointing to the difference between Tesla network and other brands. I don’t disagree, Tesla has a really good charging network.

The article does state that she signed an affadavit stating she wasn’t a pro, so she might be SOL here.

I saw the same episode.

Correct. This was mentioned on Lehto’s Law for a very similar event.

The club at which this took place is full of wealthy residents and members, to include many tour golfers. So I doubt that it was unaffordable. That club plays another club, Lake Nona, which has similar affluency and has been televised in the past, so the clubs aren’t hurting for money at all.

Well, I’m also going to cherry pick your comments, and probably repeat myself.

I hear you except for the not-popular thing. There is a waitlist to get a minivan. They keep raising the prices because they can and people keep paying. (the worst mpg a Sienna gets is 36 which is pretty darn good - good luck getting one though :) )

As mentioned somewhere above, many CUVs have an AWD package. I mean sure, you could put A/T or H/T tires on a minivan, but it’s still built like a car. I think of all the stupid shit I do in my truck (factory tires and suspension), basically meaning, I can still park wherever I want, I can drive in sand, I can drive

If we were dealing in a stable market....maybe. The problem is that with the exception to Tesla, EVs are fetching additional market adjustments. I really liked the ionic5, at least on the outside, but the inside felt like a dentist office and after getting over some of the other *wow* factors, I found it to be really

I’ve almost always preferred this way of parking. Now that I typically drive a truck, it’s actually about my only option in a crowded parking lot.

My pet peeve is bicyclists using the crosswalk button.

....Sure, but the MOST rational choice is still going to be a mini-MPV or small/mid-size station wagon. Less ground clearance means lower CG and more interior space; lower-profile front-end styling means better fuel economy and pedestrian safety; less emphasis on looking “tough” typically means better visibility;

Around 2012/13, I had purchased a 2001 E46 M3. Overall, I loved and still miss this car, it was relatively easy to work on and didn’t quite break the bank, always looked great. But underneath, this car seemed to have a bad aura about it through the years I owned it. I gave it the nickname “BadKarma.

I mean, how many $20 sunglasses do you think Walmart sells? How many $200 sunglasses does Oakley sell?

We ended up with a Hybrid Niro after shopping for EVs all day. For as much as we wanted an EV, they’re just not priced to compete and the Hybrid will have similar savings combined with less up-front and insurance costs.

Unfortunately, Solar still requires storage. I’m saying this as someone who’s built a few arrays and has 10kW on my roof, Solar is NOT a standalone solution. Almost all of my setups have battery storage or are tied to the grid (or both). They’re useless at night and even a little cloud cover will cut your generation

In this case it says it was a cell phone. So, (allegedly) I’m guessing the phone was placed somewhere that the flight attendant thought she wouldn’t notice the lens poking out. Pretty dumb since pretty much every modern camera phone has a pretty obtrusive lens cluster:

Europe and China are comparable sizes.

If the parking thing works well and avoids needing to download a city’s parking app every time you go to a meter in a new town, this seems like a win.

The poor innocent bastards who have to see his corpse when it does? That is the problem with selfish bastards like this guy, they never think about the people who will be traumatized by stumbling over their rotting corpses.
