For high-end manufacturers, like the German/Japanese Luxury brands, sure, it’s sustainable because you have faithful buyers who exclusively only buy those brands (for the badge) and come back often to upgrade.

This is all well and good, but if you only have 100 amps of service and have a tree between your powerline and your now disallowed service connection, then the cost is considerably more to get level 2, which I think you really do need if you want to live with one of these as a true daily driver.
One of my coworkers towed their 60K miles, 2017 Volvo XC90 into the dealer recently and was told that it needs a new engine. They quoted $22K for the replacement. I guess Volvo cars are also obsolete after their warranty is up?
And now you compound your mistake by sticking with the same obsolete technology that made your M car such a hassle to maintain :)
This is not the ideal method of charging, but it provides excellent flexibility when your charging needs require it.
AC charging is handled on the car side of things anyway. Most those dedicated EV charging boxes are mot much more than outlets with a hose. The car decides when to pull power, not the plug. Your car doesn’t care if the plug is coming out of a dedicated box or a nema outlet.
“Performance Pickup”
I was going to say. There are a few clear problems with the Qualified Immunity defense:
1. QI only applies to On-Duty cops or cops that are acting in an On-Duty role (for example an off-duty cop happens to be in a convenience store during a robbery).
I have 2 young kids and a stainless steel refrigerator from 2010. Gonna need a lot of this shit:
Why does this seem so much worse knowing that the (alleged) perpetrator is 31 years old and not a delinquent teen?
I mean....for about 5-10% more, I could get a brand-spankin’ new one, with a full bumper-to-bumper warranty, the latest features, latest styling, fresh tires, fresh parts, fresh interior, fresh exterior, a lot of the gremlins fixed, be the original owner on a car with less miles and 5-6 years newer meaning that I…
Few things I hate about this mentality:
Go test drive a 2013 Model S and see if you think it’s obsolete.
It’s easy enough to say that EVERYTHING is overpriced, right now. Definitely an indicator that new vehicles are becoming more and more out-of-reach to most middle-class Americans.
I think the fact that she could theoretically vote for a doofus of a politician is far less significant of a threat to the general public than the fact she could murder multiple people in the span of a few seconds lol.
I’m so fucking sick of the “Technology makes worse drivers” argument. I get that it’s no substitute for good driving, but people who fail under the careful guidance of technology were probably going to fail, anyway. We’re all just banana-eating primates propelling 3000lb+ steel boxes around at 80MPH, what could go…
Not traction, Momentum. A Cannon Ball doesn’t need traction to bust through a wall.
Am I the only person here slightly more terrified that she probably has a valid voter’s registration card?
“I am God’s prophet, and I need an attorney, but I’m basically letting you all know that I am the cause of this fire.”
Obviously this kind of hooliganism isn’t deserving of death but we can’t just make everyone else suffer because some a-hole might die when he’s running from the police.
