I just don’t understand how people can support someone who is so vile and anti-everything. She just wants everyone to fit into a pretty little box, with zero individuality or personality.

As someone else mentioned, some Macbooks only charge to 80% by default, that seems like a good design. Apparently, a few brands are doing this, now:

In all likelihood, yes.  EVs tend to default to an 80% charge, even overnight, you can change it in the settings, but most people will only “request” 100% if they’re planning a long drive.

The Polestar 5 is set to be a full-size 4-door sedan, much like the BMW 5 series and Tesla S, which would be direct competitors. I’d imagine it to be a very practical 4-door car, especially with a fastback and a frunk. It’s no more or less practical than what’s already going on in the slideshow. Maybe you’re thinking

As someone considering an EV really soon, there can only be 2 ways to go about maintaining an EV battery:

Something that I’ve learned over the years is that many lithium batteries get “abandoned” in a sense, even in items you use regularly.

I was pretty disappointed when they discontinued it, but it was a very polarizing car. I think it’s a very good looking low-key family SUV, and I’ve been told they’re very roomy inside. Very good styling cues without being over-dramatic. In essence, it didn’t come off as a soccer-mom mobile. I’d even dare to say that

RE: Volvo V90 with an EV.

It already is a moving violation and trust me, years ago, I was ‘verbally warned’ for not having lights on my bike.

Absolute Dream DD with no strings attached. My inner teenager wants an R34 GTR V-spec and nothing less:

46% of American households have at least 1 gun. That’s about 150 million people. 0.1% of that is 150,000 people. 45k people died in 2020 from guns. Less than 0.03% (and accidents were less than 1k)

99.9% of American gun owners are responsible as hell with them.

See my reply to op.

It’s not a lie, and the article is right, it’s not about it being better for the earth or cheap/free to use, it’s about it being convenient.

This is pretty common in the US, and while not all garages have the occupancy sensors, I much prefer taking a ticket and paying to exit.

Traffic Calming measures:

I disagree. Now sure, Airtags are a cheap, quick, and dirty way of getting it done, but it comes with many pitfalls. Mainly, they can be detected very easily by anyone, not just the owner.

If this happened before Dash Cams became common:

There are dozens of sensors in your car already. I am sure they deal with issues like ‘sensors getting dirty’ routinely. Also- lots of things are legislated into existence. Like catalytic converters, airbags, OBDII, headrests, etc.

Disabling the speaker is trivial and the automatic tracking notification on your phone only activates if the device is moving or travelling with you consistently, basically it has to follow you. A tracker being left in a building that you come and go from wouldn’t set off anyone’s notification unless the owner marked
