Maybe, and I’m just spitballing here, the people who choose to live in the car-free neighborhood are the people who choose to not own a car at all.
This, I live in a “quiet” downtown, I’m 1 block from Main Street. I go to council and planning meetings, I know how much some residents want a “car-free” downtown. When I say we’re a ‘quiet’ downtown, I’d say we’re somewhat a ‘failed’ downtown, where there aren’t many visitor-friendly businesses. We haven’t attracted…
Cities can change. We don’t have to keep making car ownership mandatory. I love cars but I hate commuting in them.
I hate Tesla as much as the next person, but arguing they aren’t luxury is stupid.
That’s an insult to pseudo-luxury brands like Buick, Acura, and Volvo.
I mean, Tesla interior is more similar to my Hyundai’s interior than my Jaguar’s interior.
In other news, Toyota and Ford also beat Mercedes in sales. All hail the new Luxury Kings: Toyota and Ford.
As a Florida Resident, I call them the “At least we tried” laws.
You’re probably right, perhaps leave it up to the judge or county in cases where cops maliciously or egregiously write bad tickets or make bad judgement calls on duty.
Time to retrain that cop and I hope the judge reamed him for it. It’s important to remember that these kinds of cases tie up the courtrooms and cost the courts unrecoverable money.
Nea, they have to impress the red states, too.
I’ve driven through Mississippi a few times, I think I once visited Biloxi, although I can’t remember actually stopping in. Overall, not a state I’d have any reason to visit, but it is a crucial pass-through state. It’s probably the lowest ranking state I’ve ever travelled through.
It almost seems like they’re stealing the core charge on these since usually you’re only going to have 1 or 2 bad modules out of more than a dozen on the S/X or like 4 on the 3/Y.
I think I’ve written enough posts to put a meme here. The cheapest car to own is the one you already own. At the moment, EVs are just toys for early adopters.
I don’t quite understand your long comment as you state you don’t want to have multiple cars yet you still have multiple cars.
Not the Leaf Plus... only the crappy standard Leaf. The Leaf Plus is the only Leaf I would consider due to driving range.
If thinking logically, absolutely. And yes the Teslas are hideous, and have interiors that feel cheap. Plus a lack of a proper driver’s display would drive me nuts. I drive a Polestar, and whilst the range isn’t as good, it is a much better *car*. Tesla have convinced people that they are a ‘premium’ manufacturer,…
Aw, I missed this one, I had a good one.
Range isn’t everything and for people who have more than one vehicle in their household, it might not be a determining factor.
