That does make sense (though being a “good kid” has nothing to do with it), it still sucks though and I think he should at least have to go through drivers school and a possible... “he comes from a proud law enforcement family.” -Ah ok then

Politicians and Voters don’t seem to want to admit that this is the other side of the coin. A lot of Republicans are actually disappointed we can’t call today’s market a “Recession.

Which is just the dumbest shit because almost every time places are made into higher-density, better mixed use spaces with walkable shopping etc, people are happier.

Or a really old person who thinks everyone BUT THEM are going the wrong way.

I wasn’t really into cars until I owned one, but as a kid the Neon ad was catchy and I used to spot them on the road:

If Twitter and its ownership are such racist trash, why have you made them an intrinsic part of the Gizmodo experience? Truth is, you cannot separate yourself from that which you support and defend, whether through purchases, friendship, voting or otherwise.

That’s their argument. They’re claiming that Elmo deserved the payout because of his past role in driving the stock up tenfold over the past decade (from when Tesla was worth NOTHING). This is irrelevant to the trial. If Elon fucked a 10 year old boy, you can’t argue: “Yea, BUT he also made Tesla stock go up 10-fold”

It seems the “Go woke, go broke” slogan is doing the exact opposite.

Doesn’t mean they’re loyal or doing anything above the bare minimum. I’m willing to bet many of them are hunting for new jobs or even decided to take the Severance deal.

Yes and no. Depending on the loss, it can hurt pay, bonuses, trigger layoffs, create a shockwave in production or quality, delay builds, delay parts, delay hotfixes, backlog R&D, and otherwise give Tesla a major setback against its growing competition.

The deal he got, it’s done. Suing the board will do nothing.

At this moment, the guards are no longer on duty. Twitter has been reduced to a skeleton crew of ‘yes’ men who were either too dumb to take a sweet 3-months of severance or are completely checked out and collecting paychecks until they find a new job. I’m amazed the site hasn’t yet become 4chan (or maybe it has, I

Something I was explaining to another person in an unrelated topic: When you buy stock, you’re GIVING your money to someone else in exchange for a piece of paper that says you own stock.

Uber and Lyft were definitely on my mind, and yes, that’s exactly how they started out, just like Tesla, Lucid, Nikola, Rivian, etc. They all started and many continue to hemorrhage money to this day, yet everyone working for them, running them, and investing in them, seem as happy as a fly on dog shit.

There’s a difference between wealth and liquid wealth. Musk may be the richest man in the world, but someone like Bill Gates (worth almost half) actually has a LOT more liquid wealth.

He’d probably have to re-hire a lot of people for that to happen. It’s not exactly something that can be done by machines.

That is one happy old man.

I agree that he is not wrong, but it feels a bit disingenuous coming from the guy who formerly lead a company that has not one, but TWO “Black Friday” events a year.

I’m trying to understand: With what manpower is Elon expecting the rules to be enforced on Twitter?

I dunno, I try to consider where Elon Musk would be if his Engineers failed to deliver a viable EV.  She’s not sorry because she was hoping on a miracle to come through before it all came crashing down.
