You should see my ‘88 GT. It is a beat down p.o.s that I treat like a rented mule and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

you were bound to be ripped apart by everyone on this one..

1988 Mustang. Front frame rails are rusty, floor is rusty, rear quarters are rusty, hatch is completely rusted out. runs like a top though.... which is why I refuse to scrap it... yet

I lived in a 2nd floor apartment, and did all sorts of work in my allotted parking space. The key, was to befriend the local apartment staff with rides in the mustang when it was running. then they wouldn’t hassle me when I worked on it on the weekend.

my 1993 mustang lx 2.3 still had a 85 mph speedo. they did last a while. the V8 cars changed over in 1989 with the introduction of Mass Air induction

no. I wonder the same thing. its a shame the U.S. is such a joke now

10,000 people showed up for this. This was a temporary gig. but i'm all for a permanent 1/8 mile drag set up there. unfortunately it will never happen...

I’m sure my Mustang is just as harmful and pollutant as said VW. I hope no one is smug enough in my area to leave such a distasteful note.

do you feel better about yourself now?

where does Roadkill come into play? started off good.. i'm afraid the Dodge sponsorship will slowly kill them too.

I would imagine, if you own an enthusiasts car, whenever you see one like yours. I know when I see a 1979-1993 Mustang on the road, even if its a 4 cylinder convertible in beige my heart skips a beat.

isn’t it Thursday?

could be a bad sender for the gauge. my 1988 mustang has that issue. it reads full all the time, until there are about 9 drops of fuel left, then the gauge plummets. makes highway driving a lot of fun...

I will shamelessly plug my own car. Foxbody mustangs (1979-1993) have been considered the red headed step child in the muscle car community but I’m going to the drag strip and seeing all sorts of different engines and transmission combinations in them, as well as a handful of these cars at the autocross too. the

Ford Edge? is this where we're headed? shapeless blobs occupying all makes and models?

was this an “every Ford but the mustang” option? because I’ve owned 4 now (1988, 1993, 1998, 2005) and none have had this feature. I’ve had to go running with my keys in my mouth.

I have rear shocks and lower control arm bushings, I have an exhaust leak on the passenger collector, I have an oil pan leak, I have subframe connectors waiting to be installed, I have a power steering low pressure return line that is slowly weeping onto the ground. I have a Ford.

hmmm. my 1988 mustang doesn’t have this problem. or any airbag recall issues. or ignition switch issues. its a shame the purely mechanical design era is gone.
