Would love to try this, but I'm extremely hesitant. My main PC runs a Surround setup and without knowing how this will be impacted I'm inclined to hold off for the time being. Maybe I'll kick around the idea of building another machine to act as a dedicated host.

This is only true if you are operating under the assumption that your television and your xbox are within 9 feet of each other. In my case that's not even remotely possible.

In fairness, for some of us it's not really feasible to use Kinect. Sad, but true.

I understand perfectly where you're coming from about the trolling, I just don't see it coming in to play in this instance.

I don't necessarily disagree with you, but this demonstrates my point regarding advantages. You see a benefit in SSD's and have thus traded off a significant cash outlay for faster access times and aesthetics. For others a cheaper price and higher capacity serves their needs better and has more appeal. I see merit in

Your experience is not necessarily indicative of his. No need to be combatative about it.

Why does it have to be an either/or proposition? For myself, I want to have both options. There are valid advantages to both internal SSD's and external portables.

I'm happy to see this coming as well. It only takes a few seconds to manually sign in, but I got used to the convenience of it with my 360.

If you're just going to run Vanilla Skyrim on a single monitor you can get just about any modern video card and call it a day....maybe something like a GTX 750Ti (not the GTX750) or GTX 760 for price/performance. It's when you want to start running all the pretty graphics mods that you'll want something with a little

So would I, assuming that the multiplayer is actually a remaster and not a port. My purchasing decision hinges on this and nothing else.

I'm well aware of the capabilities of the VG278HE. In fact, I'm sitting in front of 3 of them as I type this.

It depends on the specific monitor as not all TN panels are created equal. Some have poor angles, but for others it's not even a factor to consider in typical usage scenarios.

Most televisions accept a signal at 60Hz and use frame interpolation to convert to 120Hz (or higher). It's a trade off of latency for smoothness.

Agreed. My experience is that there is a appreciable improvement up to about 120HZ. Above that the return on investment seems to diminish pretty fast.

This...this may be the greatest thing ever. Bravo.

Fuck that indeed. I get the reasoning behind linking the freebies that PS+ gives you to your account, but trading away lifetime access rights for what amounts to approx. a 15% discount just seems ridiculous.

30fps certainly isn't the end of the world, but it can be a bit offputting if you're not used to it.

It may or may not be for you, but I highly recommend you give it a chance if the opportunity arises.
